Cub Scouts Pack 100 - Westford

Cub Scouts Pack 100 - Westford Cub Scout Pack 100 of Westford, MA is a family oriented program for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grades.

Pack 100 is made up of girls and boys in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We meet as a Pack (all grade levels together) at least once per month - typically on the first Friday of each month at 6:30 PM. During the 2022-23 Season, the majority of our meetings will be held in the cafeteria at Abbot School. Sometimes our scheduled activities require that we meet during daylight hours, such as hiking an

d our annual Cubmobile race. When we have Pack camping scheduled, we will hold the monthly Pack meeting around the campfire! The Pack will host hiking throughout the season and family camping at least twice per season (Fall and Spring). We enjoy STEM activities, outdoor skills, and friendly competition. Our annual Pinewood Derby and Cubmobile events are Pack favorites! We also enjoy outings such as overnight outings to Battleship Cove or the Air Museum. We strive to give back to our community as we teach the principles of Scouting. Pack 100 regularly participates in clean-up events and food drives. In addition to being part of the Pack, Scouts are members of a den - which is specific to their grade level. Our dens coordinate their meetings amongst the member families, but typically meet 1-2 times per month. With their den, a Scout will complete age appropriate adventures, learn skills and earn awards as they gain experience to move to the next rank

Scouting is a family activity. Siblings are always welcome at our Pack and Den events.

We kicked off our summer program with an EPIC campout this past weekend at Camp Resolute!! ⛺We went next level with so many games and activities such as gaga ball, badminton, cricket, whiffle ball, and fishing!🎾🎣 Scouts had the best time playing the clothespin game secretly attaching clothespin to anyone without getting caught.😂 We held our first ever flag pole ceremony.🇺🇸 We initiated our 2 burner grill by grilling up burgers and hot dogs for dinner and then again made scrambled eggs, grilled peppers and onions, pancakes and bacon in the morning-a truly gourmet breakfast!🍔🌭🍳🥞 We roasted marshmallows, ate s'mores, and told jokes during our campfire program. 🔥Everyone had a blast! Smiles and laughter all around 🙌

We had our Pack Graduation Friday night. Congratulations to all our Scouts advancing to the next rank and for those who earned their rank badge! We recognized: Scouts who participated in Scouts Trash the Trash, Birthdays, and a few leaders who really stood out this year! Our Den Chiefs took the Den Chief Pledge and we look forward to them guiding our Scouts. We also learned about the limited edition Liberty in Action patch, which as a Pack we are committed to help these Scouts earn, and all the fun additional adventures planned this summer! Oh what a night! Several members of the Pack 100 Committee (and one lucky Scout) attended the West Wind District Awards Dinner last night. It was a wonderful chance to connect with leaders from other Packs and Troops from across our District. It was also a chance to celebrate how AWESOME Pack 100 and its people are. A few highlights:

🌟🌟🌟We learned that Pack 100 had achieved a 3-star rating on the 2025 Polaris Award. This is the highest possible rating, and it recognizes overall excellence and Pack health. Thank you to all the families who make Pack 100 such a wonderful and vibrant community!

🔩We cheered for Webelos Dad and tireless Committee Member Tomasz as he received the Spark Plug Award for his consistent dedication to supporting Pack 100 in a million different ways.

🎆🥳 We learned that Spirit of Adventure Council will bestow the Outstanding Cub Leader Award on our incredible Cubmaster Erica at a special dinner next month. The Council supports Packs and Troops across Boston and 75 other Massachusetts communities. And only TWO LEADERS are being given this prestigious award. Thank you, Cubmaster, for your energy, creativity, and relentless commitment to excellence and to taking Pack 100 to the next level! 🚀

Hey Scouts! We will have a booth there. Bring your bike and ride through an obstacle course. Sit in a police car and big DPW truck!

Bring the family to the annual Bike Safety Rodeo on June 2nd. Lots of fun, bike obstacle course, free Italian ice, free bike checks, and education.

This weekend, some of Pack 100’s Wolf families braved the rain to go meet another very special pack at Wolf Hollow in Ipswich. 🐺

We learned so much from the passionate volunteers about the sanctuary’s important work caring for these ambassador wolves, educating the public, and advocating for legislation to protect the North American wolf. They even invited us to start a howl, and the real wolves joined in!

We were especially excited to meet Akela (second picture) who, like our Pack’s leaders, guides Cubs with wisdom and love.
