Yesterday, March 20th, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to fly down to Washington D.C. to meet with board members of the African Well Fund and Africare at the Africare House to present our final donation to them of $28,040. During the meeting, they went over exactly where this money will go. They informed us that the money will build 2 entirely new well systems and rehabilitate 4 existing ones, each of which supplies a health hut (small medical clinics) in 6 different districts in Senegal's Sahel region. These water and sanitation systems will improve the health, education, and hygiene of approximately 6,500 people. The meeting was wonderful and it was inspiring to be in a room full of such driven and passionate people. We want to again thank Diane Yoder and Rob Trigalet from the African Well Fund and the team at Africare for making this all possible! We also want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years and enabled us to follow our drive to help this cause we are all so passionate about! We could not be happier with the outcome and are eternally grateful. We will continue to post updates on the project as it takes place and provide as much specific information as possible. Thank you all so much again!
