Annual Banquet: This year’s annual banquet will be August 29th 1PM to 5PM. We are asking for a zero cost RSVP by August 16th simply to get a headcount. We are also looking for volunteers to assist in duties, such as: cooking/setup/cleanup/bartending,… With that said, send me an email if you’ll be attending or better yet, come to club as an RSVP sheet has been posted for you to sign.
TAKE NOTE: members only event! No exceptions!
Volunteers: Sending out a thank you to the various members recently did some volunteer work at the club. What’s nice is these folks take notice of something and simply tackle the task for the good of the club!
Mark Duffy: Mark came down and power washed buildings, equipment and concrete areas down at the trap field. Things look great.
Rick McHugh: We had a large maple tree come down which did some minor damage to a neighbor’s fence. Rick made quick work on removing the tree with his chainsaw. We are currently looking at fixing the fence for this neighbor.
David “Deuce” Franchio - Once again, David is performing the grass cutting at the Brook this summer.
Harry Johnson: Harry planted a bunch of flowers by the street under the Stony Brook sign and has been watering them from time to time.
Donny Gervais & Ralph Gilmore - these guys have been performing all the various electrical work around the club.
Dan Laferriere - Dan recently replaced the broken faucet in the bar with a new one.
Jim Recks: Jimmy recently joined the bartending crew, helping to quench the thirst for the Brook patrons who stop by.
*Keep in mind folks, that Jimmy — like the rest of the bartenders — is there volunteering for your benefit 4, 6, or 8+ hours a day, so don’t forget to show your appreciation with a decent tip! Especially if someone is buying a round or you’re drinking for free because someone bought a stack of cups!
