Patriots and Pints: Taverns and the American Revolution
Monday, November 2, 2026, 7pm
Taverns had always been the hub of communication in society, but during the American Revolution they played an enormous role. Groups met there to get information and hear the latest news. Loyalists had their favorite gathering places, as did the Colonials. Spies passed secrets.
Come hear Joseph Adelman, Professor of History, Framingham State University, talk about how taverns influenced the outcome of the Revolution. Program to be held at the Sibley House, 13 Parkman Street, Westborough, free and open to all.
