205 days, and almost 7 months Rocky has spent every night sleeping alone in a kennel. This handsome boy has shown nothing but improvement since he arrived here and everyday grows into more of a good boy. Rocky needs a quiet, child free home with a patient, loving family to show him life is actually not all that bad. He may be able to live with another pup as well as he has also shown major improvements with his reactivity towards other animals. Meet Sam, the super senior!!💖

Sammy is very very old and may look like he’s also very sad, but he is actually SUPER loving, happy, and sweet. Despite his age and the way he looks, he’s actually relatively healthy. We’re in the midst of doing some anti-biotic to treat a bacterial infection but other than that our kitty vet said the rest of his bloodwork was within normal limits. He is skinny but is gaining weight slowly as the days go on. The little guy was found nearby Prospect Hill Ave in someone’s front yard when they luckily turned him in to Ocean State to be seen. We then picked him up and have been inlove with him ever since. Sammy is chill and doesn’t really care about much. As long as he has a comfy place to lay, can freely (and slowly) roam, he is perfectly happy. This guy is going to finish his meds and retest and then is ready to go home. Please share and help Sam find his home so he can leave as soon as he’s done. Sam deserves his last days in a comfy home with lots of love. On Saturday, May 30th 2026, we had picked up a raccoon acting very strangely in the area of Lonsdale St. We had many concerned citizens who have been leaving messages asking for updates on the situation. Luckily the little fella tested negative for rabies! It’s very possible it could have been suffering from distemper, or another kind of zoonotic disease. It’s very important to keep your pets vaccinated against rabies and distemper incase more situations like this do arise. There has been an influx of positive rabies cases in RI this year already. Remember rabies & distemper are both detrimental and will KILL your pets!!! It’s not only for safety, but also a state law to have your pets up to date with rabies. Keep your pets SAFE this summer!!!🐾🐾☀️
