🍂 We’re Looking for a Fall Intern! 🍂

As we wrap up summer, we want to give a huge thank you to our summer interns—Jack, Sotiria, and Maddie! ❤️ From communications and social media to chapter support, event projects, and our Stories of Betterment campaign, they brought creativity, energy, and fresh ideas to Betterment. We’re so grateful for all they contributed!

Now, we’re looking for a Fall 2026 Intern who’s excited to learn how a small nonprofit creates big impact.

This is an unpaid, remote position, ideal for a student seeking academic credit and hands-on experience in communications, fundraising, storytelling, social media, and nonprofit operations.

👀 Pssst… longtime Betterment supporters: remember when your kids were running around at chapter events? They’re college-aged now… and they might be the perfect candidates to help keep the ripple effect going strong!

We're back with another trend because we just couldn't resist...Our 7️⃣ things worth the money 🩵

Because what’s really worth the money? Helping a neighbor through an unexpected crisis. Making someone’s home safer and more accessible. Being there when someone needs a little help getting back on their feet.

And yes—supporting Betterment through a raffle ticket, a monthly gift, or joining one of our Giving Circles so together we can keep helping recipients when they need it most 😉

For over 20 years, Hearts for Youth has provided fun, safe, and engaging programs for children throughout the Alexandria Bay community. As participation has grown, so has the need to ensure every child has access to a healthy snack during activities.⁠

That's why our Alexandria Bay Chapter was proud to provide $2,000 in support to help cover snack expenses for the coming year—allowing Hearts for Youth to continue investing in the programs that help local kids learn, play, and thrive! We are thrilled to help your work in this way, !

🎒💙 Big hearts making a big impact!

A huge shoutout to our amazing friends at Little Neck Junior Chapter for helping make a difference in the lives of local youth. 👏

Recently, members of the chapter delivered backpacks to Ever Held as part of an incredible initiative to provide 400 backpacks to Tidewater youth in foster care. Every backpack represents more than school supplies—it’s a reminder that these young people are supported, valued, and cared for.

We're so proud of these young leaders for turning compassion into action and creating a ripple effect of goodness throughout their community. 💙🎒

The Betterment Alexandria Bay Chapter is making waves with The Ripple Lemonade Stand—proving that every cup poured creates a ripple of kindness throughout the community.
