Meet Sotiria! From Potomac, Maryland, Sotiria is currently studying International Relations and Psychology at the College of William & Mary (Go Tribe!). Active in Kappa Delta, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, National Residence Hall Honorary, and as an Orientation Aide, she brings both passion and a supportive mindset to Betterment! To her, "the Ripple Effect of Goodness" means that meaningful impact does not just come from large-scale efforts, but from consistent, thoughtful actions that build over time. Proceeds from Betterment’s National Vacation Raffle help support our National Immediate Need Fund recipients — providing relief for families when they need it most... even if they don't live near a local chapter.

Recipients like Shawn, a longtime public servant who served both in the military and as a local police officer. After facing serious health complications connected to his years of service, Shawn underwent intensive medical treatment that kept him away from home for extended periods of time and created unexpected financial strain for his family. Thanks to supporters like you, Betterment was able to provide mortgage assistance during this difficult chapter in their lives.

⭐️Funds raised through the National Raffle allow Betterment to continue supporting recipients across our communities in moments of urgent need. ⭐️

Meet Jack! Hailing from Annapolis, Maryland, Jack is currently studying Public Accounting at Fordham University. Active in the Accounting Honors Society (Beta Alpha Psi) and a member of a band, he brings both precision and positivity to the team! In his free time, you can find him outside enjoying everything from music to pickleball. To Jack, "the Ripple Effect of Goodness" means that a true act of goodwill sparks another, and that helping others selflessly makes the world a better place for everyone. Jack is a former Carolyn Fund recipient, working with us to host benefit concerts for local and global causes. Additionally, Jack provided musical entertainment at Alex Bay's 22nd Community Betterment Weekend. We are thrilled to have Jack continue to stay engaged with Betterment in this new way!
