The Foundation continues to fund a dementia/Alzheimers initiative with ULM School of Allied Health, with professional work by Dr. Amanda Stead as a specialist in this field, working with our hospitals, VCOM, first responders, and the caregiver community. We are excited about the ways our community is coming together to address the challenges this disease progression is making on all of us, especially those diagnosed and the ones who care for them and serve them.

With the Louisiana Tech University Department of Health Informatics and Information Management, we funded an on-site student manager at The Health Hut in Ruston for health management and improving patient outcomes. LA Tech’s Meredith Grace Magee developed a creative innovative approach to addressing public health with clinical professionals. We look forward to those outcomes!

We’re partnered with Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington to assist in funding cancer screening in a mobile unit across NELA. With the high cancer incidence rates in NELA, it’s imperative to GET SCREENED! Thanks for their screening wheels on the road and the team!

Our local senior centers are truly amazing, we think the best in the state! And we love partnering with Ouachita Council on Aging, AAA and Mrs. Loretta Hudson in the work she plans and delivers for the seniors. Such a great supportive environment with lots of activities!

The Foundation funded equipment and upgrades for the Louisiana Center for the Blind in Ruston. What a great regional and national education setting in a supportive accessible environment! We love our relationships with the Center and their focus to the needs of their clients and students!

Ouachita Green and local volunteers make an impressive impact on our area. Being mindful of environmental and area beautification, recycling, and clean landscapes contributes to our mental health, love of community, and unity. What a great way for families, individuals, youth, children, and all ages to work together for a great goal!
