Join us this weekend for the WM Summer Basketball League Season Opener on Saturday, June 6th!

We’ll have games going all day as our 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U divisions tip off an exciting summer season.

Good morning folks. We are looking forward to seeing some old and new faces out there today. A few things for today:

No basketballs are permitted in the gym. Leave then at home please.

There are no bleachers to sit on or chairs that will be provided.

Players are free to go once they have had their turn. Depending on where they are on the list, it could be 2 minutes or up to 45 minutes.

Please do not show up early for your check in time. That will leave you waiting outside. You will not be able to check your child in until the posted times.

Good afternoon folks. Im reaching out to clear a few things up going into this weekend's evaluations.

1. Attendance to evaluations is expected but we do understand that things come up so it is not mandatory in order for your child to play. They will still be placed on a team. With that being said, we have evaluations in order to make sure the teams are as even as possible. This makes for a much more enjoyable season and a better environment for your child to grow and develop.

2. As previously stated, your child must play in at least 4 games to be elgible for the playoffs. If injured, the player must still attend the games and sit on the bench in order for the missed games to not go against them. ZERO EXCEPTIONS. This is not up to the individual coaches, this is a league rule. Our goal is to provide a fun and fair league. This fairness includes coaches volunteering their time and fellow teammates putting in the work. We understand that it is summer time and some practices and games may be missed due to other engagements and vacations but attendance to the best of your ability is expected.

3. Evaluations are for players that have a paid for spot already. If your child is on the waitlist, please do not bring them. They will be turned away. We understand that it may be upsetting that your child didnt get a spot. We truly wish we could take everyone but we are limited by the time and space that the community center is able to offer us. Please do not reach out to ask if there are any spots open or to ask what number your child is on the waitlist. If you do not receive a call, text, or email from a league representative, there is not a spot available for your child.

4. Please check our website gwmaa.org for league information prior to emailing or messaging. If you dont find what you are looking for, please feel free to reach out at that time. We are all volunteers so an immediate response may not be available. Please be patient.

We are looking for a committed coach that does not coach any other sports teams over the summer that will conflict with our game schedule. Also as a reminder all coaches must be able to pass a background check. (Donating your time and knowledge is a great way to get your child off the waitlist.)🏀🏀🏀
