ANNOUNCES 20th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Twenty years ago, a small idea took flight… and changed hundreds of young lives.

Since then, “COLIBRI” has become more than a competition. It has been a stage for first steps, a place for courage, growth, and unforgettable moments.

In 2027, we will celebrate our 20th Anniversary with a Grand Gala Concert, bringing together generations of performers - past, present, and future.

And today, in 2026, we begin the countdown.

If you’ve ever been part of this journey - as a participant, parent, teacher, or supporter - you are part of our story. And this celebration is yours too.

The XVIII International Arts Competition for Young Performers proudly announces its Visual Art Division. This event unites children and youth from across the globe through creativity and cultural exchange.

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Winners will be selected by the online Jury on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Don’t miss the grand opening in the Great Hall and Long Hall of Plummer Park to see the outstanding artworks!

Visit Long Hall from October 26 through November 16, 2025, to enjoy a vibrant exhibition celebrating the creativity of all participants.

This year’s Competition provides an extraordinary platform for young artists to celebrate diversity, foster unity, and inspire one another. At the same time, it emphasizes responsibility: entries must focus on creativity and artistry, avoiding sensitive subjects such as religion, politics, or military conflicts.

Age Categories:
5–6 years
7–8 years
9–12 years
13–15 years
16–18 years

Accepted Media: Painting, Mixed Media, and Sculpture (both physical and digital).

Prizes:
· Certificates of Achievement for winners
· $100 cash prize for the 1st place winner in each age category
All entries will be featured in the permanent online Competition Archive here.

Submission Guidelines:

· Artworks must be original
· Non-refundable entry fee: $10 for 1 image, $20 for 2 images, $30 for 3 images
· Submissions accepted exclusively through the official Competition website (JPEG format, max 10 MB per file)
· Minimum image resolution: 3000 pixels on the longest side

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we must make significant changes to the XVII Colibri Vocal Competition.
The devastating fires in Los Angeles have created challenging conditions, as many hotels are currently housing evacuees.
This has made it difficult for families traveling from other cities to secure accommodations.

To address these challenges, we have decided to transition this year’s competition to an online format.

Additionally, we are excited to announce that this year, there will be cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place in each age category!
