JQ’s programs and services address the community-building, educational, and wellness needs of our intersectional community, providing vital opportunities for all LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies to connect, learn, and thrive. JQ Mission Statement: JQ celebrates the lives of LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies by transforming Jewish communities, and ensuring inclusion through community building, educational programs, and support and wellness services. JQ Vision Statement: JQ envisions a world where all LGBTQ+ Jews feel a strong sense of self, pride, and community - a place where LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies are supported by communities that embrace their identities and celebrate their unique gifts. History: Established in 2004, JQ International was born out of an urgent need our CEO, Asher Gellis, felt and saw in the Los Angeles community - there was no space for LGBTQ+ Jewish folks to feel connected to one another, to their faith, and to their intersectional identities. What started as a dedicated individual planning safe and affirming community events grew into a powerful organization dedicated to uplifting queer Jewish joy and creating a more inclusive future for all LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies.

Come with friends, come solo, reconnect with familiar faces, or meet someone new. Got Guys? events are geared toward gay and q***r men, transgender, and nonbinary community members, and whether this is your first JQ event or you already know the crew, we’d love to have you at the table.

JQ joins the Community Corner at Tour de Summer Camps

Join JQ International, the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, and the broader Jewish community on Sunday, November 8th for the first ever Community Corner at the 14th annual Tour de Summer Camps!

Spend a relaxing, connective day at camp, where everyone is welcome. Compete in the Camp Cup, Cycle, Hike, and enjoy many other activities. Your registration fees support the Federation so that every Jewish youth can have a summer camp experience.
