⚽️ Another U.S. Soccer Grassroots coaching course completed!

Our Fargo Horizon FC - Soccer Academy coaching staff keeps moving steadily through the U.S. Soccer licensing pathway, and we're proud of how quickly our coaches are growing.

This weekend's course brought together passionate, dedicated coaches from across the region, all committed to giving young players the best possible support as they discover the beauty of the game.

At Fargo Horizon FC – Soccer Academy, we take coaching seriously. We know the influence a coach has on a young player's life, on and off the field, and we embrace that responsibility every day.

Better-trained coaches mean better experiences for your kids. 🔴⚪️

When you play, your school wins too.

Introducing Fargo Horizon FC Gives Back, our way of supporting the elementary and middle schools across the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Here's how it works: for every active player registered with Fargo Horizon FC, the club makes a donation back to that player's school PTO/PTA. More players on the field means more support in the classroom.

Every player counts. Register today at fargohorizonfc.com

Is your school's PTO/PTA part of the program? Tag them below or share this post so they can learn more.

* Program applies only to school PTOs/PTAs that have agreed to participate in the Fargo Horizon FC Gives Back program.

🐉⚽⚪🔴 Before Fargo Horizon FC - Soccer Academy, there was MSUM.

Big shoutout to Minnesota State Moorhead for featuring our own co-founders, Tobias Bögel and Rachael Boegel, in their Dragon Stories series this week!

Tobias arrived at MSUM from Germany to compete in football and track and field while earning his degree in health and medical sciences. That's where he met Rachael, a fellow track and field Dragon — and together they built the foundation for everything that came next.

Rachael says it best: "The MSUM community taught us discipline, resilience, leadership, and the importance of investing in other people."

That's the culture we bring to Fargo Horizon FC every single day. ⚽ For us, youth soccer isn't just about wins and losses — it's about building confidence, resilience, and character in every athlete who steps on our field.

The lessons the Boegels learned as Dragons didn't stop at graduation. They became the blueprint for how we coach, mentor, and show up for our players and families here at Horizon FC.

From time management and resilience to investing in other people, the lessons we learn at Minnesota State Moorhead ripple outward after graduation.

For Tobias and Rachael Boegel, who met as students, the support and mentorship they experienced as Dragon student-athletes shaped how they now lead their businesses and serve their community. Through CrossFit Unitas and Fargo Horizon FC - Soccer Academy, they're helping people build healthier, stronger lives while creating the same culture of care they experienced at Moorhead.

At the 2026 First National Bank Fall Kickoff in Sioux Falls, Colton Siegert stepped up an age group to play keeper for the U12 Dakota Fusion boys — and delivered.

A 74% average save rate across the tournament, peaking at 90% in a single game, kept his side in every difficult match.

That's what consistent training looks like. Season-long work with our academy, showing up when it counted.

Well done, Colton! Keep up the good work! ⚽⚪🔴

🍎⚽ BACK TO SCHOOL, BACK ON THE FIELD! ⚽🍎

Summer's wrapping up and it's time to hit the books again! Fargo Horizon FC wishes all of our players and families a happy, healthy, and successful school year ahead. 🎒📚

We believe success in the classroom and success on the pitch go hand in hand. The focus it takes to study for a test? Same focus it takes to master a new move at practice. The grit to bounce back from a tough grade? Same grit it takes to bounce back from a loss. 💪

Our goal is to help every player grow into a strong student, a strong teammate, and a strong person — both in the classroom and on the field.

Here's to a season of learning, growing, and achieving — in school and in sport! 🙌

In his 2026 season debut with the , Sylis Carlstrom (Fargo Horizon FC U13 #89) didn't just make the starting lineup — he wore the captain's armband and scored his first goal of the season, giving his team the half-time lead. His coaches and friends at Fargo Horizon FC couldn't be prouder.

Everything Sylis brought to the match against Sheyenne Boys Soccer is the result of his consistent approach to training and his willingness to put in the work. Wearing the "C" came as no surprise to us either. Along with his technical ability and game intelligence, Sylis has grown into a leader by example — showing younger players at Fargo Horizon FC what hard work really looks like. He is always willing to learn and takes every opportunity as a learning moment.

Sylis' performance reinforces our commitment to building the next generation of soccer players, through training programs tailored to age groups and designed to develop technical skills and game acumen together with strong character.

Everyone at Fargo Horizon FC is proud of you, Sylis. Keep it up!
