Session 12: I am BIO!!!

We can’t believe how fast the last 12 weeks have flown by! We are so very grateful to everyone in the community who helped make the season possible.

Our final mantra: I AM BIO sends participants off with the belief that they are truly BEAUTIFUL, inside and out! Thank you for a great season!

Thank you also to our wonderful participants and mentors for bringing the energy to each session, and of course our fabulous site director Kari!!!

Session 11: Failure and Perseverance

Failure is often seen as a bad thing. We mess up. We make mistakes. We don't do our best. But failure can also be a gift. Today we focused on making progress, pushing through challenges, and learning to accept our mistakes with grace. We learned there are many benefits to failing and how learning to grow from failure helps us persevere in life. Our mantra: I FALL. I RISE. I REPEAT. Reminds us that failure is a
part of life, it's not something you outgrow!

A couple lessons ago we talked about self-worth so we dove a little deeper on Thursday We touched on how media and entertainment often show us unrealistic beauty standards and how self-worth is not tied to how you look. We even watched a quick video of how photo editing, filters, and Al can make something appear "better". We finished our lesson with an exercise that helped participants discover what truly makes them BIO (beautiful inside and out) and sent them off with our mantra: NO FILTERS NEEDED!

Session 9: Social Cognition

How can we be so close to the end of our season already? Yesterday’s lesson demonstrated how comparison can make us feel worse especially if we are nervous that others are watching/judging us. Out mantra: MY PACE, MY RACE isn’t just about running. It’s about knowing that the pace of life we are living is just for us.

Session 8: Self-Worth

We’ve spent the last few weeks learning how to show kindness to others. Our lesson this week moves into showing kindness to ourselves - not always an easy task! We want participants to know how valuable they are - just the way they are - not through what they do, what they have, or how others see them. We sent them off with the mantra: WORTHY WITHOUT TRYING.
