Our sweet friends over at PubWest hosted their second Giving Tree for us!

For every ornament sponsored, they gave a free drink & brought together their entire community to truly make a difference for the families we serve.

We can’t thank Pub West enough for thinking of us during this holiday season and staying committed to being a safe place for 🅗🅔🅡.

We feel so fortunate to work with PubWest again this Merry Season! Help us with some favorite feel good goodies and receive a free drink for your contribution!

We’re excited to continue our tradition with the Styled with Strength organization and help Stock the Shop this holiday season!

Our Christmas tree will be decorated with ornaments listing much-needed items. Simply choose an ornament, purchase the item listed, and enjoy a free drink on us as a thank-you.

The very first meeting with a client at Styled with Strength, we typically learn A LOT about the abuser:

We often learn:
•He grew up in an abusive household
•His mom left him at an early age
•He was diagnosed with: (insert every diagnosis that alters a person’s mood, behavior, or lack of self control)
•He is terrified of being abandoned
•He struggles with addiction
•He has PTSD from past deployments or time as a first responder
•His ex-wife/ ex-girlfriend really screwed him up

and this reasoning & rationale for someone’s abusive behavior always leads to one simple question that starts with a 🅨🅔🅢, 🅑🅤🅣:

•🅨🅔🅢, 🅑🅤🅣 have you experienced past traumas in your life up until this point?

(the answer is 100% of the time: yes)

•🅨🅔🅢, 🅑🅤🅣 have you ever utilized any of those past traumas/diagnoses/experiences to justify the reason you’ve ever physically harmed, emotionally manipulated, or controlled another person?

(the answer is 100% of the time: no)

So why are we accommodating any of these reasons why the abuse that you are experiencing as warranted or okay?

They have weaponized valid trauma & experiences as a way to harm you instead of heal & do the work to break the cycle. In order to truly help an abusive person, placing the responsibility to do the work & to understand themselves & their behavior: we have to do one thing:

• Give them the space to do the work: but it most certainly can’t be at the cost of you my sister.

When Bethany & Sha-Ree approached us about the Goddess Gala 2025, we knew immediately: these are our people!

We are so honored and (transparently emotional ♥️) to have been selected as the local non-profit for this years Gala.

Every detail was perfection, joy & the celebration of sisterhood was so abundantly clear. They truly created a place for women to feel safe, seen, and celebrated (and you know we are all about that vibe 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻)

The Styled with Strength team had the time of their lives & we cannot wait to get dressed up and attend next year!

Tomorrow, Friday April 18 @ 8am we are hoping to assemble a group of volunteers to support with a safety move!

Most furniture has already been relocated thanks to our friends at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK but we need your help to close the chapter!

Whether it’s an hour or throughout the morning we are hoping to have our client fully relocated & SAFE by 12pm.

She’s taken the biggest step in choosing safety, we are hoping to show her tomorrow what an incredible army of support she has surrounding her!

The Styled with Strength team had an incredible time with the BIO Girls - Fargo, ND - Microsoft squad this week!

Together, we crafted our signature friendship bracelets, serving as a beautiful reminder for the women we support who are escaping violence: they are worthy, loved, strong, and always enough!

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing girls, mentors, and leaders at BIO Girls for helping us to create safe spaces for all in our community!
