Our life and our journey is likened to a race - races have prizes and reward people. Races can vary in length and obstacle. Races require much and can become too much to the point of quitting. Our hardships medical afflictions are a part of our race. How will we run the race?

Considering Jesus gives strength, endurance, and hope for the journey. Considering Jesus enables us to run the race well, albeit sprinting a marathon or pacing ourselves depending on the stage of the race. Nevertheless, Christ alone is our strength to truly endure, press on, and thrive while we run to the very end of ourselves. May we fix our eyes on Christ to solidify our confidence in His goodness and sovereignty. Might we look ahead {through our hardship} to the promise of His reward of future joy.

Holidays can also expose deep hurt and drive the chronic thorns of weariness, isolation, and loneliness all the deeper for families enduring ongoing medical challenges.

Finding real hope in a real God is the reason for the season and is the only way to endure any of the heartache that can come with holiday season for those enduring. This is the real magic of the season!

.:Consider Jesus:.

Might we look to him as one who knows, cares, and comforts. He has been misunderstood, wrongly accused, and under attack from the time of his birth. He is no stranger to hostility.

Enjoy a fresh look at the birth of Jesus this Adent season. A season that can stir a lot of emotion for those enduring hardship of many kinds.

Isolation is one of the chief complaints of those enduring with a family or loved one with chronic and critical health needs. Holidays can be a catalyst to exasperate that already underlying feeling.

If you are in Christ, nothing can change the forever promise of security and presence with the Lord. But how can we fight to believe this truth when holidays make us feel alone and misunderstood? How can we combat the sting of missing out?

“We’re all in this together” has been a popular phrase used in recent months. So why is loneliness, an already concerning reality, growing to unprecedented levels?

A simple phrase slapped onto a very hard season of medical hardship doesn’t rid the feelings of no one understanding or knowing the world you’re in. This topic has been on the forefront of our minds well before Covid as we journey through medical unknowns, but the pandemic has only made it all the more true for each of us. We are all currently enduring implications of medical challenges that have us grappling for relational well-being.

So what do we do? How should we handle loneliness and how can we look to God in our loneliness?

New Release Wednesday! Our newest episode is hot off the press!

Emotions are deep and unknown; they can even be complete chaos. There’s ambiguity. Get over yourself and ENTER IN. Put yourself second.

🌱Join the conversation as we navigate what it means to “be in it” with those suffering in the medical challenges and hardships in their world while not to over empathize and point your loved ones to the Lord in their despair.
