The Rotary Club of West Chester

The Rotary Club of West Chester We meet every Thursday at 12:00 noon, at the West Chester Golf & Country Club (111 W. Ashbridge Street).

The Rotary Club of West Chester is an organization of business and professional leaders, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and work to build good will and peace in the world. The Club was chartered May 1, 1921, by twenty-three community leaders who wanted to make a di

fference. It is now one of 31,000 clubs worldwide, in 166 different countries. Following its motto, "service above self," the West Chester club has provided service to the community and the world for over 8 decades and has now grown to 121 members. The object of Rotary is to foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. We do this through various service projects including:
• conducting a major fruit sale to raise funds for a selected charity;
• conducting the Chili Cook-off each fall to raise funds for local and world community efforts;
• providing funds for drilling 22 deep wells in Bangladesh;
• sponsoring Youth Exchange which brings two foreign students to the area and sends two local high school students to foreign countries, each for a year, to build world peace and understanding;
• sponsoring leadership development opportunities and programs for, and recognizing and awarding high achieving high school students;
• contributing generously to Rotary Foundation to assist in world service programs.

Join Home of the Sparrow’s Walk for Women on Saturday, June 20th from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at 200 Chesterfield Parkway, Malvern, PA. Together, we’ll walk in support of single women facing homelessness and help provide the housing, education, and support they need to build brighter futures.
