- Tues. September 1– Tuna Salad Sandwich & Tomato Basil Soup
- Wed. September 2 – Sloppy Joes & Jo Jo's
- Thurs. September 3 – Tacos, Refried Beans & Rice
- Fri. September 4 – Baked Chicken, Baked Beans & Potato Salad

Lunch will also come with sides and a dessert.

Cost is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers. Kids under 12 are $5 and families who come with a member also pay $5 per person.

Reservations are required one business day in advance by 1 p.m. Lunch is served to you at your table promptly at noon so please check in before then. All ages are welcome.

We had over 80 people attend our End of Summer BBQ this year. Thanks to the Applarians for running the grill, Lance Tigner and the Easy Street Choir for providing entertainment and all of our dedicated volunteers who made this happen!

Good News! We have set up our second member/volunteer check-in kiosk. It is located at the entrance to the "furniture room" in the Second Chance Thrift Shop. We chose this location because it's convenient for all of our Thrift Shop volunteers, and for members who come in through the Thrift Shop entrance to access suites A and B to attend classes and activity groups.

By checking in at a kiosk every time you visit or volunteer, you're helping us keep important records to track how many people use our facility and what they are doing when they are here. This will help us secure additional grants. (Please note: kiosk check-in is for members and volunteers — not for Thrift Shop customers 🛒😉)

Since Kristen Tarzwell, our Office and Program Assistant, is stepping in as Interim Program Director while Lydia Agidius is on maternity leave, she thought she'd take the opportunity to let you get to know her better in our August Livewire newsletter. We are saddened to learn of the passing of Colleen Hall on July 7. She was a regular attendee of activities at Foothills Community Center.

Her family will hold a memorial service on August 11 and community members are invited to attend:
