Removing One More Barrier

For families affected by the Chelan Hills Fire, recovery happens one step at a time.

Burned vehicles left behind on fire-damaged properties can become another obstacle to rebuilding. Lions are helping eligible property owners remove those vehicles so families can continue moving forward.

This effort is possible through the Lake Chelan Lions, Mansfield Lions, Wenatchee Central Lions and our partnership with Douglas County.

Eligible fire-affected property owners can receive assistance with the removal of up to two burned vehicles per affected parcel.

Service means finding a need—and doing something about it.

Our lions had a wonderful evening celebrating the end of our 2025-2026 year and installing board members for the ‘26-‘27 year. A huge thank you to President Darci Christoferson for a wonderful year and we are very excited for our year ahead with President Kristen Bryant. 🦁

🇺🇸 The next generation of community volunteers is getting involved! This young helper joined Lions members as they placed flags around our community in honor of Flag Day. Thank you to all of our volunteers who help make this program possible each year.

Our next flag display will be for Independence Day on July 4th! 🎆

Did you know that the Wenatchee Central Lions Club places American flags at homes and businesses throughout Wenatchee and East Wenatchee five times each year: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day?

For just $50 per year, subscribers receive a beautiful American flag display for each holiday. Lions members handle all the work—placing the flags before each holiday and picking them up afterward.

Best of all, every dollar raised supports charitable projects in our local community and Lions service projects around the world.
