Hundreds of potential future lifesavers took the field at Fenway Park on Thursday. 🙌 ⚾

Following the Boston Red Sox game, we taught fans how to perform Hands-Only CPR and use an AED in collaboration with the Red Sox Foundation.

The goal: get more people confident and ready to act when every second counts.

When Shira Georgiou suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at home, quick action from her husband, CPR and a rapid response from the Town of Reading, MA Fire Department helped save her life. ❤️

This National CPR & AED Awareness Week, watch Shira’s story and learn why CPR training, AED access and being prepared matter — because you never know when someone you love may depend on you.

The weather may have changed our plans, but it didn’t change why we were here. ❤️ ☔️

Survivors, families, volunteers and supporters came together for the Central Massachusetts Heart and Stroke Walk to honor loved ones and support a mission that matters.

Heart disease and stroke don’t stop for the weather — and neither did this community. Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and rain with us today. 🫶

This week, Sabrina Webb of the American Heart Association and Dr. Brian Silver, president of our Central Massachusetts Board of Directors, presented Michelle Robinette at her office with this year’s Be Extraordinary Community Award. ❤️

Michelle, who serves as stroke coordinator/project manager at UMass Memorial Medical Center, has spent more than 15 years advancing heart and stroke awareness across Central Massachusetts. After losing her mother to stroke, she turned that loss into a mission to help others recognize the warning signs of stroke and act quickly in an emergency.

Through her volunteer leadership, community outreach efforts and role helping develop WooStroke, Michelle has empowered countless people with education that can help save lives.

We look forward to formally recognizing Michelle on stage at the Central Massachusetts Heart and Stroke Walk this Saturday. Congratulations, Michelle, and thank you for helping build a healthier community. 👏

We’re honored to celebrate the leadership of Steve Messineo, business development director at Encompass Health's Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, who has done an outstanding job serving as chair of the 2026 Central Massachusetts Heart and Stroke Walk. ❤️

We can’t wait to celebrate with him — and all of our amazing walkers — on Saturday, May 30, at Fitton Field in Worcester.

Hampshire Regional High Schoolsophomore Maya Rudnitzky was named the 2026 Go Red for Women Teen of Impact winner for Western and Central Massachusetts after raising $1,400 to support our mission.

Maya has already become a passionate advocate for CPR education, helping launch a Heart Club at her school and speaking with lawmakers on Beacon Hill about making CPR training a graduation requirement in Massachusetts.

A huge congratulations to Maya. The future is in good hands. ❤️👏
