With heartfelt gratitude, we thank Minnesota Blind Hockey for generously sharing your ice with us this weekend, uniting members of the team who traveled across the nation to come together in celebration of our friend Maddie Hadfield's life. It was an honor to witness Brady, Maddie's brother, receive the Lord Nordy award on her behalf, and we know he will wear it with unwavering pride for his sister. In this moment, the U.S.A Blind Hockey community stands united, basking in the joy and gratitude that defines Maddie's enduring legacy, and though she will be missed deeply by all, her memory will forever inspire us.

We honor our friend today and every day moving forward. Still heartbroken over the loss of Maddie Hadfield.

For those of you who have attended USA Hockey events or the Hendrickson Foundation Festival, you likely remember Maddie Hadfield—sister to Brady and daughter of Melissa and Nick.

We are devastated to share that Maddie passed away over the weekend. Our hearts go out to the Hadfields, who have been such a cornerstone of the Minnesota Blind Hockey community and have given so much of themselves to all of us in the USA Hockey Blind Hockey Community. We are doing everything we can to support them during this unimaginably difficult time.

We highly urge the community to put their Sticks out for Maddie this Thursday night, March 26th. There will be a Honor Blind Hockey Practice at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota on Sunday March 29th from 3:45 to 5:15, which Brady Hadfield and Minnesota Blind Hockey invites anyone who would like to attend.

Maddie was a bright light and a tremendous supporter of everything we do. She never hesitated to accompany her family to all blind hockey events, she was a true hockey sister to the core. Her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Please keep the Hadfield family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this loss.
