The spirit of the summer solstice was celebrated today!! We had a ball! Food by Acclaimed Catering, give-always by our generous communities (we’ll thank them independently tomorrow!), live music by Planned Obsession, so many laughs! We’re sure the pictures will speak for themselves! Enjoy!!! ❤️

At half past one the cards come out,
With lucky charms and cheerful shout.
The daubers fly, the coffee’s hot,
“B-12!” — somebody hits the spot.

The seniors laugh and trade old tales,
Of grandkids, gardens, hips that fail.
But don’t be fooled by silver hair —
They’ll elbow you right from your chair.

We were on the road again, this time back to Shipshewana! Such an amazing couple days! Starting off with boxed lunches from Apple Spice, we headed off. Once there, we checked into The Blue Gate Inn, then turned around to shop down town. Some got pretzels, some got squishy’s, and some simply got steps in. Dinner at the buffet is always a win! Then we headed back to the inn to prepare for The Texas Tenors! They did not disappoint - highly recommend. At the end of the evening we spent time with Joseph, the Detroit Tenor and Larry Hanson, lead guitarist who happened to play years with the Everly Brothers and Alabama! Such nice men who shared their stories. Next day, after a full breakfast, we headed to the Menno-Hof Museum. So interesting! Enjoy these pics of the time we spent together!!!

You’ve heard the old adage, “I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out!”! Well, I went to a social club and a euchre game broke out!!!! And it was a “girls rule” kinda win!!! We also enjoyed the fun arcade games, 7 Sucks, and delicious tacos. Mostly we enjoyed the camaraderie!
