Happy Thursday!!!! Today's schedule: Our Purr-fect Cup Coffee & Kitty Hours 8am-noon, and then our regular Catz Den hours 3pm-8pm featuring Adoption Hours 5pm-8pm! 😸

Featured today are 3 kitties who are available for immediate adoption: Kit Kat, Monroe and Mushu 🐾 (Thanks Amanda B for some of the pictures)

It’s another paw-some Thursday at The Catz Den! We do have scheduling notes for today; we will be open for our Purr-fect Cup Hours 8am-noon and our evening hours 3pm-8pm; however, we will NOT be having adoption hours tonight!

This is a great time to get to check out our gift shop and meet our lobby kitties if you haven't yet. These four kitty's are permanent therapy residents whose main goal is to greet you when you walk into our feline filled facility!! 😸

Spade, Mocha, Miso and Jitterbug are our permanent lobby kitties who can't wait to greet you and meet you!

If you’re hoping to adopt, just make sure you’re an approved adopter and plan to come see us next week on June 18th. Also, keep your eyes on our socials - kittens will be adoptable in the next month or so!! 🐾

Awesome reminder for all of our furry friends

It's going to get hot outside!🔥Heat can be deadly for your pet. Cats and dogs do not have the ability to sweat; they cool their bodies off by panting and through the pads of their feet, so when the weather is extremely hot it is much harder for your pet to cool off.

Keep your pets inside with plenty of water and a cool space during hot weather.

Don't have air conditioning? Use fans and close window coverings. Shades, curtains, and blinds can lower indoor temperatures by up to 20°F, so keep your windows covered to block out the sun.

NEVER leave your pet unattended in a parked vehicle.

If the pavement is too hot for your bare feet, well guess what?! It’s too hot for your pet’s paws. Always check the pavement before bringing your pet outside.

If your pet has been exposed to high temperatures:

•Be alert for signs of heat stress including heavy panting, glazed eyes, a rapid pulse, unsteadiness, staggering gait, vomiting, or a deep red or purple tongue.

• Immediately move your pet to the shade to gradually lower its temperature. Apply cool (not cold) water to the pet, and provide lukewarm or cool water to drink.

• Take your pet to a veterinary hospital immediately. It could save its life.

Since opening its doors in 2023, The Catz Den has been connecting cats with loving homes while creating a welcoming space for people to gather, relax, and build community.
