Project2Heal is a one of a kind organization serving special needs children and their families. Project2Heal also offers qualified families discriminatingly bred Labrador retriever puppies or adult dogs as pets. Families who acquire their Labrador retriever through Project2Heal provide another way for us to fund our work with special needs children.

Halie had a BIG day out! 🐾💙

One of our incredible volunteers, Sarah C., took Halie along for a day full of field trips, new adventures, and plenty of opportunities to practice being a confident little future service dog. From exploring new places to taking in all the sights and sounds, Halie was busy putting those important skills to work!

We’re so grateful for volunteers like Sarah who help our puppies experience the world one adventure at a time. Who knows where Halie will be off to next?

Monday mood: cuddle mode. 🐾💕

We’re bringing a little puppy love to your Monday with a sweet throwback to last week’s Stress Down Day with Moseley Architects. Chloe found the perfect spot to recharge with her puppy raiser, Liz D., and honestly, we can’t think of a better way to wind down. 🥰

Chance is putting in the WORK! 💪🐾

This handsome boy has been putting in the work with some pretty amazing volunteers who are helping him build his strength, coordination, and confidence through conditioning sessions.

It may seem like small stuff, but these little exercises are BIG steps toward preparing Chance for his future career as Joy’s service dog.

We’re so grateful for the volunteers helping this good boy become the best service dog he can be. Keep up the gains, Chance!💙

AUGIE HAS GRADUATED! 🎓🐾

From puppyhood to purpose, Augie’s journey has officially reached one of its most meaningful milestones: he has graduated and been matched as a mobility service dog!

Trained through our incredible partners at Fidos For Freedom, Augie will help his new person navigate the world with greater independence through mobility assistance. And as their partnership grows, he may even add some hearing-assistance skills to his important job description.

But Augie’s story carries an even deeper meaning.

Augie was a sponsored dog, made possible by the extended family of the late August “Augie” Garbelotto. Through their generosity, Augie was given the opportunity to grow, learn, and ultimately change someone’s life.

Now, the little puppy who was once simply preparing for his future has a very important purpose to fulfill.

We hope Augie’s journey inspires hope, brings comfort, and serves as a beautiful reminder that a legacy can continue making a difference long after someone is gone.

Congratulations, Augie. Your namesake would be so proud. 💙

Talk about perfect timing... Bunker is starting his next chapter during International Assistance Dog Week! 💙🐾

This sweet boy from Montana and Billy's litter has packed his puppy bags (and probably a few extra treats 😉) and is officially off to Fidos For Freedom to continue his journey toward becoming a service dog.

Every future service dog starts somewhere, and for Bunker, it all began at Project 2 Heal with plenty of love, learning, adventures, and a few classic puppy shenanigans along the way.

Now it's time for Bunker to take on his next big assignment: learning new skills, making new friends, and showing the team at Fidos For Freedom just how special he is.

We're going to miss this sweet face around here, but we couldn't be more excited for what's ahead. We have a feeling Bunker is ready to steal some hearts, earn some belly rubs, and make everyone proud!

Happy International Assistance Dog Week!💙🦮

This week, we're celebrating the incredible dogs who change lives every single day.

Behind every confident guide dog, mobility dog, psychiatric service dog, medical alert dog, and more is a journey that starts long before they meet their person. It starts with purpose, socialization, training, and a whole community of people who believe in their potential.

At Project 2 Heal, we're honored to be a small part of that journey by donating purpose-bred Labrador Retrievers to accredited service dog organizations across the country. From playful puppies to life-changing partners, every wagging tail represents hope, independence, and countless possibilities.

Here's to the dogs who make the impossible feel possible and to the people, volunteers, puppy raisers, trainers, and partners who help them get there!

One of the most rewarding parts of our Kids Club is watching young volunteers learn how to help socialize and build confidence in future service dogs. But the reality is, they don't always get to see where that journey leads.

That's why having Peter and his service dog, Prince, join us on some of our recent outings has been so special.

Peter, our 2024 Giving Tuesday recipient, and Prince have given our Kids Club members something truly invaluable: the chance to see the impact of their hard work come to life.

Every puppy they help socialize, every new experience they help create, and every ounce of confidence they build has a purpose. Those moments don't just shape a puppy. They help shape a future service dog that will one day change someone's life.

For our Kids Club members, meeting Peter and Prince connected the dots in the best way possible. They got to see firsthand what a service dog can mean to someone and how the work they're doing today helps make healing possible tomorrow.

It's a reminder that no act of kindness is too small, and you're never too young to make a difference.

Now that's a full-circle moment. 💙🐾

Calling all golfers, dog lovers, and anyone who believes a day on the course is even better with a side of puppy love. ⛳🐾💙

Get ready to tee off because the 13th Annual Lucas Kanelos Putt 4 Pups Golf Tournament is coming in hot!

Join us Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Rolling Hills Country Club for a day filled with great golf, friendly competition, and a whole lot of wagging tails.

Will there be impressive drives? We hope so.
Will there be questionable putts? Probably.
Will there be plenty of opportunities to help change lives? Absolutely.

Every swing supports Project 2 Heal's mission to breed, raise, and place future service dogs with those in need. So whether you're here to chase bragging rights, enjoy a day with friends, or just have an excuse to talk about dogs on the golf course, we can't wait to see you.

They grow up so fast... one minute they're zooming around with their siblings, and the next they're packing their imaginary suitcases and heading off to change lives! ✈️🐾✨

Montana & Billy's pups are officially onto their next adventures, and we're so excited to share where they've landed!

-Trace is headed to Canines for Service.
-Lego has joined BluePath Service Dogs.
-Marce is off to Paws and Affection.
-Hero has started his journey with MK9s Service Dogs.

While we're pretty sure they'll miss wrestling with their siblings and perfecting the art of stealing toys, they're one step closer to becoming the incredible service dogs they were born to be.

We can't wait to watch these pups learn, grow, and make a life-changing impact. Go make us proud, kiddos... and try not to cause too much mischief along the way. 😉💙
