Breaking news: JJ is officially certified to be exactly who he's always been... a very good boy. 🐾

We're excited to celebrate JJ for passing his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test!

As one of our trusted chaperone dogs, JJ has spent the last year representing Project 2 Heal at community events, helping us spread awareness, meeting new friends, and showing our younger dogs how to confidently navigate everything from busy crowds to Stress Down Days.

Passing his CGC is an important milestone and a testament to his outstanding manners, reliability, and steady temperament. Now, he's setting his sights on his next big goal: the Alliance of Therapy Dogs certification test this June.

JJ has a special talent for making people smile wherever he goes, and we can't wait to see him take the next step toward sharing comfort, connection, and plenty of tail wags with those who need them most.

Congratulations to JJ and his Chaperone/Handler, Lillian B.! We couldn't be prouder. Stay tuned as he takes on his therapy dog test later this month! 💙

Though if you ask JJ, the real reward is probably the treats...

The puppy room has been extra busy lately, and that means some big milestones for two very special litters.

First up, Donovan from Sky's litter has officially joined his puppy raisers, Sarah and M., as he begins his journey in our Started 4 Service program. We can't wait to watch this guy continue to grow and learn as he takes on his next chapter. To learn more about becoming a puppy raiser, visit: https://hubs.ly/Q04jPSCR0

Meanwhile, Cypress's litter has been busy collecting boarding passes and heading off to organizations across the country:

• Pip is off to Bayside Service Dogs in Wilmington, NC.
• Ellie is headed to Continuing the Mission in Davidson, NC.
• Melody has joined Fidos For Freedom in Maryland.
• Buck and Belle are now with Paws and Affection in Pennsylvania.

Not long ago, these puppies were busy turning every toy into their favorite toy and every nap pile into a team-building exercise. Now they're spreading out and taking their first steps toward careers that will make a real difference.

We're so proud of these pups and excited to see what comes next. Though we have to admit, the puppy room feels a little emptier without all those extra paws running around!

We are excited to officially introduce Chadlyn and her family as our 2026 Paws for a Child campaign family.

Chadlyn is a fun-loving soon-to-be teenager with a big personality, a love for family and friends, and dreams of a little more independence. Alongside her family, she has also been navigating the challenges of epilepsy.

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned to hear more of Chadlyn’s story when our Paws for a Child campaign launches June 15th through June 30th...

Stress Down Day at Marvin Ridge just hit different 😌🐾📚

As the school year winds down and summer starts peeking around the corner, our pups made a special visit to Marvin Ridge to help students pause, breathe, and soak in a little calm before the final stretch.

Between tail wags, belly rubs, and “I needed this today” moments, these Stress Down Days are all about slowing things down in the middle of busy school life. A reminder that even during finals, field trips, and countdown-to-summer energy, it is okay to take a break and reset.

Our puppies loved every second of it, and we are pretty sure the students did too 💙

Home Depot day for Cypress’s pups 🛒🐾

Shopping list: confidence, social skills, and maybe a few attempts to put puppies in the cart 👀

These little learners took on automatic doors, rolling carts, new people, strange sounds, and all kinds of exciting smells. Socialization is so much more than puppy playdates. It helps puppies learn how to move through the world calmly and confidently while teaching them that new experiences can be fun and safe.

These pups have been busy checking off their puppy homework, and their next big adventure is coming up soon. They’ll be heading off to their partner organizations to continue their journeys.

Stay tuned to see where they end up...💙

On Memorial Day, we pause with full hearts to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage gave us more than freedom. It gave us the ability to gather, to serve, to heal, and to build a better world for others. We don’t take that lightly.

Today is not just a day off. It is a day to reflect, to remember the lives lost, and to hold their families close in our thoughts with deep gratitude and care.

From all of us at Project 2 Heal, we honor you, we remember you, and we are forever grateful. 💙

Cypress’s pups have officially entered their Volhard phase and let’s just say… the personality is coming in loud and clear. 💙

Some are confident leaders, some are a little more “observe from a safe distance,” and a few are already acting like they run the whole place. Spoiler: they kind of do.

The Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test helps us better understand each pup’s natural temperament so we can thoughtfully match them with the right partner organizations and the specific needs of the individuals they’ll one day serve. It’s one of the key tools we use to set them up for success long term.

Big futures, tiny paws, and a whole lot of attitude in the making! Stay tuned to see where each of these pups will be headed next 🐾

We have exciting news from Sky’s litter. Breeze, Alyssa, and Chloe have officially started their next adventure and entered our Started 4 Service program!🐾🦮

Breeze is settling in with the Zimmer family, Alyssa has joined the Machusko family, and Chloe is now with Liz D. We are also excited to welcome these amazing new puppy raisers into the Project 2 Heal family as they begin this journey alongside their future service pups.

This stage is where the foundation starts to take shape. Puppy raisers play a huge role in helping our puppies learn confidence, structure, manners, socialization skills, and all of the everyday experiences that prepare them for future service work. The small moments add up quickly and help shape these puppies into dogs capable of making a life-changing impact.

Of course, puppy raising also comes with plenty of fun, lots of love, and a few mischievous puppy moments along the way.

Have you ever thought about becoming a puppy raiser? We would love to meet you. We invite anyone interested in learning more to join us for our next Puppy Raiser Interest Meeting on June 13th at 10:00 AM.

Interested in attending? Shoot us an email at [email protected]. 💙

Pints were poured. Puppies were spoiled. Hearts were very full 🐾🍻

Pints 4 Pups 2026 was everything we hoped for and more. Because of this incredible community, we raised $46,000 to support our mission to breed, raise, and donate future service dogs to those who need them most 💙

A huge thank you to our headline sponsor, Concert Stuff Group, and to everyone who helped bring this event to life.

Nights like this take a village, and we are so thankful for every person who made it possible. And of course, the puppies say thank you for all the attention and snack opportunities 🐶🍻
