Waushara County Healthy Communities Healthy Youth

Waushara County Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Throughout the years, the purpose of the Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Committee has been to hel See Impact and Accomplishments.

Healthy Communities Healthy Youth was the new name given to the Families First AODA committee in 1997. The Mission remained the same:

“To reduce alcohol, to***co and other drug use among Waushara County’s youth.”

Vision: “Waushara County is a place where substance abuse is diminishing, and where youth are increasingly involved, healthy and successful.”

National prevention efforts of the past s

everal years have been based on the Strategic Prevention Framework. This strategy looks at building up membership and having key stakeholders at the meetings. There is also the assessment part to determine if the community is ready to make environmental changes that would change the culture of drinking. A plan is developed as to what environmental change to work on based on the assessment. The planning is then put into action followed by evaluation. The committee continues to promote asset building and working at making environmental changes.

💡 Why are we asking parents to take this survey?!

Because you see what youth are experiencing every day.

Your insight helps us better understand:
✔️ Youth mental health
✔️ Screen use & technology habits
✔️ Connection at home and in the community

This isn’t just a survey — it’s a way to shape what comes next.
