St John The Baptist Day

Today we celebrate St. John the Babtist day, a date long associated with Freemasonry and the enduring principles of brotherhood, virtue, and personal growth.

A little history: June 24th honors St. John the Baptist, whose feast day has been observed for centuries. The two St. Johns—St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist—have long been regarded as patron saints of Freemasonry, symbolizing a life of virtue, wisdom, and service.

As Masons, we reflect on the lessons of the Craft and recommit ourselves to living with integrity, serving others, and striving to be better men each day.

To all our Brothers near and far, we wish you a meaningful and reflective St. John the Babtist Day.

Last night three Brothers from Wautoma had the honor of traveling to Waupaca Lodge and sharing in a meaningful night of Brotherhood.

Some travels are not about distance, but about presence. They are about standing beside Brothers in moments that remind us why this Fraternity matters. Last night was one of those evenings.

There was also something deeply reflective about sitting in the original Lodge room of a Lodge built in 1861, just as we had done last night. To sit where generations of Brothers have gathered, labored, prayed, learned, and supported one another is a powerful reminder that we are only temporary stewards of something much greater than ourselves.

We were welcomed with warmth, shared a meal, sat in Lodge together, and witnessed a heartfelt recognition of service, dedication, and Masonic love.

Thank you to the Brothers of F&AM Waupaca, WI. lodge # 123 for your hospitality and for allowing us to be part of such a reflective and memorable evening.

Last night, we recognized years of service to the Fraternity and to Wisconsin Freemasonry in our original Lodge room.

Just a block away from our current home is Christiano’s Pizza, where we were able to reserve the upstairs banquet room, conduct our business, and break bread together. We even arranged the room with the Masonic East in the same place where our ancient brethren sat nearly 100 years ago, before the Lodge moved into its current home.

Seeing the Three Lesser Lights illuminate that room once again was truly something special.

We shared laughter, fellowship, and reflection in a room filled with the memory of the men who first brought Freemasonry to Wautoma in 1864. It is humbling to think about the moment when the candles were extinguished there for the last time, and what those Brothers may have felt as one chapter closed and another began.

Last night, for a little while, that light returned.

What a great night of fellowship with Appleton #349. Very grateful for the six of you visiting us last night. We also welcomed home PM Tim Castner after several years of residence elsewhere. We had a wonderful Masonic education piece delivered by Brother Michael Marone - this piece will be at our next District Meeting for sure. Wisconsin Freemasonry on full display!

182nd Annual Communication Recap

Wisconsin Freemasonry continues to thrive.

This year, our fraternity finished with a net gain in membership for the first time in decades. Our Lodge, along with more than 30 others across the state, was recognized for helping contribute to that growth.

We were also proud to receive Gold Status again through the Lodge Planning Guide. This recognition reflects the continued commitment of our brothers to our community, our Lodge, and our Masonic family.

Several of our members were also recognized or appointed to important roles:

Worshipful Master Victor Magnus was asked to serve and has accepted the position of District Deputy for District 6.

Worshipful Brothe Kevin Klinger and Worshipful Brother Alex Rabe have accepted positions as as members of the District Six Team.

Worshipful Brother Danny Wohlfert has started his second year as District 8 District Deputy.

Worshipful Brother Matt Konradt, a plural member of our lodge, has accepted the position of District Deputy, District 12.

Worshipful Brother Adam Rigden has accepted a full-time position as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation

Brother Michael Marone,a plural member of our Lodge, was recognized as one of two Rookie Masons of the Year.

Needless to say, we are incredibly proud of the dedication our brothers continue to show to the Craft.

We also extend our congratulations to Most Worshipful Grand Master Joseph E. Thompson, along with his progressive line of officers and appointed officers, as they begin the ensuing Masonic year.

Finally, we offer our deepest thanks to now Past Grand Master Jeff Schoenfeldt. His zeal for the institution of Freemasonry and his commitment to spreading the cement of brotherly love were evident throughout his year. His enthusiasm has been a bright beacon of light, and something every Freemason can be proud of.

A strong year for Wisconsin Freemasonry. An even stronger reminder of what dedicated brothers can accomplish together.

Chronicles of a Traveling Brother
Last week Brother Mason Earp took the time to check out a local lodge in the state of Oregon. He was invited to attend a MM Degree in Corvallis, but unfortunate they had to postpone the degree. He did attended regularly stated lodge meeting. He was told the Corvallis lodge is one of the better looking lodges in OR. Enjoy the photos!
