🌼 Remembering our loved ones and honoring the traditions that keep their memories alive.
Día de los Mu***os is a meaningful tradition rooted in Indigenous practices and shaped by generations of Mexican culture. Through ofrendas (altars), marigolds, photographs, favorite foods, and cherished offerings, families honor loved ones who have died and celebrate the enduring bonds between the living and the dead.
The History Museum recognizes the importance of preserving and learning about the cultural traditions, histories, and stories that shape our communities. May we approach this day with respect, curiosity, and appreciation for the people and cultures who carry these traditions forward.
We invite our community to visit the History Museum November 3-8 to see the Festival of Altars exhibit and on November 8 for a Day of the Dead celebration with Casa Circulo Cultural, a free family event filled with music, performances, crafts, and honoring our ancestors.
