Flock the Lawn at Bascom Hill was quite the event yesterday! Check out a small highlight of the event!

It wasn’t pink plastic flamingos that filled Bascom Hill on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus Sunday morning. It was decoy turkeys.

📣Congratulations to all of Youth/Learn to Hunt participants who harvested turkeys this year! This year’s success rate was 19 birds out of 35 hunters! It’s amazing to see everyone’s harvests!

🌟A BIG THANK YOU to the Marshall WI Lions Club for the meal that was provided for everyone and their partnership to plan and host this wonderful event!

🌟THANK YOU to all the landowners who allowed us to us their property to mentor our participants! We had roughly 30 landowners gracious enough to allow us on their land to hunt. That is AMAZING!

🌟THANK YOU to all of our mentors who volunteered their time to teach and pass on the love of turkey hunting.

🌟THANK YOU to all of the event’s participants! Without all of you we would not have a reason to do this program year after year.

Blake was able to harvest this 25.7 pound tom this morning with his mentor Chris! Way to stick with it and get it done!

After an eventful morning, hunter Steven sealed the deal yesterday evening. Steven’s daughter has been a part of our program for a few years now and he decided to give it a go as a Learn to Hunt participant. It looks like another hunter has been added to the family!

Yesterday at 8am Nora shot her first turkey and a 25 pounder to boot! Thank to dad, Nic and mentor Jack! These smiles certainly show us all that we are succeeding in our goal of creating new hunters. This event is always so rewarding for everyone involved!
