📢 Labor Day Schedule Reminder! 🇺🇸

The Bread Basket will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

We’ll be back to our regular hours:
🛒 Tuesday: 11 AM–2 PM
🛒 Friday: 12–4 PM

Please remember to adjust your schedule accordingly and plan your pantry visit for Tuesday or Friday. We’ll see you then! ❤️

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back? The Bread Basket (Community Support Center, Inc) is looking for volunteers to support our weekly operations.

Requirements:
-Able to stand for long periods
-Comfortable lifting 25-50 lbs
-A great attitude and a smile

High-need volunteer shifts:
Monday 8:00--10:30 AM: Stocking & lifting
Monday 11:30 AM--4:00 PM: Customer service, checkout, standing & lifting
Tuesday 8:00–10:30AM: Stocking & Lifting
Friday 11:30 AM--4:00 PM: Customer service, checkout, standing & lifting

We have a bunch of fresh pineapples that we really don’t want to see go to waste! ❤️

We’ve had a few people ask if they can donate produce from their home garden and the answer is YES! If you have a thriving garden and you’d like to share with the community we would be more than happy to accept your donations! Thank you for thinking of our guests 🥕 🥦 🥗

We prefer produce donations to be dropped off *before we open to the public*. This gives our volunteers time to sort, inspect, and get everything out for our guests as soon as the pantry opens. Please bring your donation directly to a staff member or volunteer so nothing goes to waste.

Hours we are open to the public:
Monday 12-7
Tuesday 11-2
Friday 12-4

We were feeling incredibly grateful on Tuesday! 🌸🌿

A huge thank you to Hoekstra's Market & Greenhouse, for generously donating beautiful flowers and plants for our food pantry guests!

What made Tuesday even more special is that we were blessed by two community-minded small businesses donating flowers and plants on the very same day! We truly are lucky to live in a community where local businesses care so deeply about their neighbors.

Watching our guests light up as they picked out a flower or plant to take home was a wonderful reminder that kindness doesn't just meet needs—it brings joy, hope, and a little extra beauty into people's lives.

Thank you, Hoekstra's Market & Greenhouse, for helping us spread smiles today. We appreciate your generosity more than you know! 💚🌼
