Join Us This Summer for a New Sermon Series!

This Sunday, we are beginning a new 6-week sermon series focused on the vision of The United Methodist Church:
Love Boldly. Serve Joyfully. Lead Courageously.

Together, we will explore what it means to be part of a renewed and hopeful United Methodist Church, a church empowered by the Holy Spirit, rooted in grace, and sent into the world to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Each week, we will reflect on how God is calling us to live our faith in real and meaningful ways: loving boldly, serving joyfully, leading courageously

We will also be learning “Build Your Kingdom Here” by Rend Collective and singing it each week as our anchor song for the series. Come worship with us this summer as we dream, pray, and grow together into the church God is calling us to be.

First United Methodist Church of Watertown joyfully celebrates the baptism of Abigail Jane King and welcomes Abigail and Hannah Jane King into membership. We also rejoice with John Arthur Gagnon and Nevaeh Angel Gagnon as they are confirmed in their faith. Today, we give thanks for God’s grace at work in their lives and in the life of our church family.

Join us Sunday as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. The breath of God moving among us, filling ordinary people with extraordinary courage, love, and hope.

Pentecost reminds us that the church was never meant to stay quiet, still, or closed in. We are called to go out into the world, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in words people can understand and in acts of love people can feel.

May the Spirit fill our hearts, renew our faith, and set us on fire with compassion, courage, and joy.
