This year's Fall Art Show Featured Artist - Francis "Fran" Sweet - is a Watertown native and an inductee in the Watertown City School Distinct Distinguished Alumni Hall of Achievement.

You can see his work at the 78th Annual NCAC Juried Fall Art Show Opening Reception and while the exhibit runs until November 14.

In 1987, Francis Sweet won the Maryland Migratory Waterfowl (Duck) Stamp competition, recording a very rare perfect score with his pair of redhead ducks on Chesapeake Bay.

While you're admiring all of the art inside, don't forget to visit the gardens at the Jefferson County Historical Society, Watertown, New York and admire the natural artwork nature provides!

The hydrangeas behind the museum have been looking especially beautiful the past couple weeks, with their soft shades of pink and green glowing in the afternoon sunshine.

Sometimes it's the little things that make the grounds of the Jefferson County Historical Society such a lovely place to be, especially this time of year!

Get ready for an amazing evening as the North Country Arts Council's 78th Annual Juried Fall Art Show opens this Friday, October 23rd, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM!

Join us for the Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony at the historic Paddock Mansion on Washington Street in Watertown.

Discover incredible art, celebrate our talented artists, and be inspired!
The full collection will be available for viewing October 23 through November 14, with selected artwork for sale!

Admission is free; however, a donation to the Jefferson County Historical Society, Watertown, New York is greatly appreciated.

It's judging day for the 78th Annual Juried Fall Art Show! Good luck to all the amazing artists who submitted entries this year.

We're also setting up the work of our featured artist, Watertown's Francis Sweet.

That means we are just a week away from the opening ceremony and awards presentation! Join us on Friday, October 23rd from 5-7PM at the historic Paddock Mansion.

The Fall Art Show is open to the public and free to attend, courtesy our hosts at the Jefferson County Historical Society. With their help, we are set to put on an event to remember!
