Clyde had his big moment on TV today! 🐾📺

Before we even sat down, he claimed the chair like it was already his show. At 2 years old this big, handsome, goofy boy has a loving personality and an enthusiasm for staying active. He’s looking for a home where he can be the center of it all! He’s not a fan of sharing the spotlight with other pets.

🏡🐾 Sweet Home Saturday 🐾🏡
Another week, another collection of happy endings worth celebrating!

Several of our cats and kittens (even the chinchilla) found loving homes this week. We couldn’t be more grateful to the families who chose adoption! Thank you for opening your hearts, changing lives and giving these animals the fresh start they deserve. ❤️

As much as we love celebrating these happy endings, this week also highlighted a group that could use a little extra attention!

While a few of our dogs were fortunate enough to head into foster and foster-to-adopt homes, not a single dog was officially adopted this week.

Over a dozen loyal and loving dogs are still waiting for their person to walk through our doors. They’re dreaming of cozy beds, daily walks, squeaky toys and families to call their own.

Every animal deserves a chance to be featured on Sweet Home Saturday and we’d love to see more wagging tails in next week’s adoption photos!

💜✨ Puppy Prom Party ✨💜

Milo and Freddy cleaned up nicely for their prom at CJ’s Acres today!

These two boys absolutely love their time there and it’s been so much fun watching them thrive! Milo, our 9-month-old Chihuahua mix, is ready to make new friends and take on a new adventure. Freddy, our 4-year-old Pit Bull mix, has been having a blast too! Every visit gives him a chance to enjoy new experiences, spend time with other dogs and show off just how sweet and playful he can be.

We love seeing our shelter dogs get opportunities like this and these handsome prom kings certainly made the most of their special day! 🐾👑

Now all they need is a forever family to dance through life with.

Forget tropical islands! The real Kokomo is here, rolling in the grass and waiting for you. 🌴

Kokomo is a 6‑year‑old pitbull who has absolutely no business still being at the shelter. At an event in Clayton last week, she met kids of every age and lit up like sunshine. She checked on the babies, followed the little ones around, and soaked up every tiny kiss on the nose like it was the best moment of her life. When she was done charming the entire crowd, she curled up in a lawn chair, asked for a blanket, and supervised the table like the sweetest little supervisor you’ve ever seen.

Her signature move? Rolling in the grass until she’s happily tangled in her leash, then stretching out and army‑crawling like she’s getting a full‑body spa treatment from the earth. It’s impossible not to watch her without smiling. 😂

If you want a calm, loving, kid‑safe dog who just wants to be someone’s whole world, Kokomo is waiting. She’s available today at the Jefferson County SPCA in Watertown, NY.
