🎉 Happy 30th Anniversary to Channel 50! 🎉

Today, as part of their annual Founders Day tradition of giving back, Channel 50 staff volunteered with our Meals on Wheels program. Working in teams of two, they helped deliver meals to 20 individuals, with a total of 62 meals delivered including weekend meals.

They also brought smiles along the route by providing swag bags for recipients and a few extras for our dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteers!

Thank you, Channel 50, for celebrating 30 years by serving our community. We are grateful for your partnership and generosity! ❤️

Important Grocery Rescue Update

Beginning June 12, Grocery Rescue items will be pre-boxed and distributed at the door starting at 1:00 PM. This change is being made to improve the safety and comfort of both our guests and staff.
By streamlining the distribution process, we can reduce wait times, limit time spent standing outdoors in hot weather and create a more organized experience for everyone.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue working to serve our community with dignity, respect, and care. Thank you for your continued support of the Mission.

Warm Weather Food Safety - Picnic season is here! ☀️🧺

As the weather warms up and outdoor meals, cookouts, and picnics begin, food safety becomes extra important.
A few simple reminders to keep your food safe this season:
🥪 Keep cold foods cold with ice packs or coolers
🌡 Don’t leave perishable foods out for more than 2 hours (1 hour in high heat)
🍉 Wash fresh fruits and vegetables before serving
🧊 Store leftovers quickly to keep them fresh and safe
At The Market at the Mission, we’re committed to safe food handling every day—from proper storage and temperature monitoring to helping provide quality food for our community.
Wishing everyone a safe, healthy, and happy season around the picnic table 💚
