Got some old tools you wish to trade/sell? This Saturday, June 20, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., Antique Tools and Trades in Connecticut (ATTIC) a club for tool collectors and enthusiasts, will be on Jordan Park Green for a swap meet and sale. During a tailgating session from around 7 a.m. to 10, they'll buy, sell and trade tools. This is free and open to the public. Then visit the blacksmith shop, open from 10 to 1 p.m. !

Save the date! Monday, June 8, 6:30 p.m., Waterford Public Library: "We, the farmers" presentation with Ray Dimmock, author of "Farm Seasons," a book about growing up on a small dairy farm in Waterford started in 1872 by his father and uncle: what life was like back then for his family and friends, during farming and during their non-farm hours.

The fiery forge will be aflame on Saturday, May 30 (can you believe it, already?) at the Ralph Madara Blacksmith Shop just off Jordan Park Green! From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., come watch the smiths at work! Here they are showing off their latest project: custom-made hooks for Greenfield Cemetery in Fairfield, CT!
