Yesterday, COA and the Military Officers Association of America partnered, along with 19 of our VSO/MSO colleagues, penning a letter urging House Armed Services, Energy and Commerce, and Natural Resources Committees leadership to include HR 8732, the Pensions for Retired Uniformed Servicemembers Act, in the FY 2027 NDAA. This bipartisan legislation would protect USPHS and NOAA retiree pensions by moving retirement funding into the Military Retirement Fund and helping ensure retirees continue receiving their earned benefits during government shutdowns.
