Last week, our staff members travelled to Washington, DC to bring The Ripple Effect Seminar to The Sargent Shriver Center!

Our staff had such a blast working with students from Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School & Corporate Work Study Program to develop their leadership and service skills! Students participated in activities that strengthened their communication and collaboration skills while learning what it means to be an effective leader. They also had the opportunity to make over 360 sunflower butter and jelly sandwiches for a local food shelter!

It is always so amazing to see what a difference young leaders can make in our communities! 🩵🌊

Friday Recap 🌊

What an incredible way to wrap up Wave Week 2026! Delegates attended our Service Fair, where they had the opportunity to meet with and learn from 8 different organizations about the important work they do in their communities.

In Core, delegates finished their leadership discussions by breaking down what it truly means to be a leader and exploring the skills and qualities needed to make a positive impact.

They then presented their final projects, showcasing all of the hard work, creativity, and growth they experienced throughout the week. Look at how well they turned out!

We closed out Wave Week with our Closing Ceremony, where our Advanced Track Cores presented their projects to the entire program. We also celebrated two staff members, Kate and Riley, who were recognized with the Presidential Extra Step and Kathryn R. Oleksiak Extra Step Awards for their outstanding service and dedication.

Thank you to everyone who made Wave Week 2026 such a memorable and meaningful experience! 💙

Wednesday Recap 🌊💙

Delegates spent the morning learning all about effective communication during their Core sessions, building skills they’ll use throughout the week and beyond.

During free time, delegates had the opportunity to tour Villanova’s Finneran Pavilion and explore one of campus’s most exciting spaces.

Cores 1 and 2 completed a Mini CSP by creating cards and positive picture frames for a local nursing home while Cores 6 and 7 headed off-site to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, making a meaningful impact in the community.

We wrapped up the evening with one of Wave Week’s favorite traditions—our annual Talent Show! A huge thank you to the one and only Suhana and Jalen for keeping everyone laughing and entertained as our fantastic hosts.

What an incredible Tuesday at Wave Week 2026! 🌊

Yesterday, our delegates spent the day project planning in their Core groups, collaborating on ideas and preparing to make an impact in their communities. Cores 1 and 2 also headed to Smith Playground for their first Off-Site Community Service Project of Wave Week 2026!

We wrapped up the evening with our annual Night of Service, and the results were amazing! Together, our delegates sorted:
👕 714 boys’ clothing items
👔 290 men’s clothing items
👗 494 girls’ clothing items
👚 995 women’s clothing items
📦 361 miscellaneous items
📚🥫 778 books and food items

That’s a total of 3,632 items sorted in just one evening! Every item represents a step toward helping individuals and families in our community.

We also celebrated two incredible leaders, Haddy and Sydney, who were recognized with this year’s Igniter Award at Night of Service. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to inspiring those around them embody what it means to be an Igniter. Congratulations, Haddy and Sydney! 🩵🌊

Day 1 of Wave Week 2026 is officially in the books, and what an incredible start it was! 🌊💙

We kicked off the week by getting to know one another at our Funstival, where delegates participated in fun team-building activities, made new friends, and began building their Wave Week community.

Our delegates also completed their first two Mini-CSP projects by creating bracelets for the Ronald McDonald House and making Sunflower & Jelly sandwiches to give back to the community.

To wrap up an unforgettable first day, everyone brought their energy to our annual kickball tournament!

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store. Stay tuned for more Wave Week adventures! 🌊
