🗓️ OGP World Cup Watch Parties start NEXT FRIDAY! ⚽️

JOIN US for the USA 🇺🇸 vs. Paraguay 🇵🇾 match at Johnny Pistolas in Adams Morgan and an inspiring evening of sports, storytelling, and cultural connection!

Welcome to Fútbol y Tú: Storytelling Through Sports, a special event celebrating immigrant athletes and the powerful role sports plays in preserving heritage and building community.

This event will take place at Johnny Pistola’s on Friday June 12th, 2026.

We’ll kickoff at 7 PM with stories from Open Goal Project community members sharing their personal connections to navigating the US soccer system and what the game means to them. Through their stories, speakers will share their personal journeys of how they use sports to remain connected to their roots. Together, we’ll honor resilience, identity, and the universal language of sport.

Following the event, at 8:30 pm, we’ll come together to cheer on the U.S. Men’s National Team take on Paraguay in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup.

The event will be hosted in partnership by Open Goal Project alongside K**A DC a storytelling platform for immigrants and people from marginalized communities to share their skills and stories.

While all are welcome and admission is free, a $10-$20 donation to Open Goal Project is recommended. Your generosity directly supports Open Goal Project’s expansion and continued offering of their 100% free-to-play youth travel soccer club, DCFC.

🚨 DCFC Tryouts start NEXT WEEK! ⚽️

For the next two weeks, DCFC is hosting tryouts for our Fall 2026 club teams for players aged 8-19. (ALL players must register through the link in our bio! 📝)

We are looking for committed, disciplined, coachable players who are passionate about the game, competing at a high level, and improving as a player and as a person - both on and off the pitch.

🎯 DCFC is Washington, DC’s 1️⃣st and ONLY 100% free-to-play youth soccer club.

📍DCFC teams practice 3x per week at DPR and DCPS facilities accessible by public transportation.

✨DCFC currently competes in the top divisions of EDP League and in some of the most competitive tournaments in the DMV area.

DCFC U14 Girls 🤝 The Virginian Tournament

Our girls played hard, left it all on the pitch, and learned some valuable lessons along the way. For DCFC teams, tournament play is designed to challenge our players to go head to head against the top clubs in the DMV area. 💪🏽

🌎 DCFC IS GOING TO THE WORLD CUP!! ⚽️

From the District to the World’s Stage! We’re beyond excited to announce that our 2016 DCFC Boys team will serve as Player Escorts for the FIFA World Cup match between Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 and Ecuador 🇪🇨 on Sunday, June 14 in Philadelphia!

For our boys, this is more than just walking onto the field — it’s the opportunity to stand on one of the biggest stages in world sports and experience firsthand what the global game can inspire.

A huge thank you to and for making this incredible opportunity possible for our student-athletes.

A lot more to share on this but for now Philadelphia… here we come. 🌍🔥

DCFC U12 Boys 🏆 TOURNAMENT CHAMPS! 🥇

A big CONGRATS to our U12 Boys on their championship run at The Virginian Memorial Day Tournament!! 💪🏽

Our boys showed class, heart, grit, and resilience to win a penalty shootout tiebreaker to make it to the final, and then came from behind again in an epic championship game against to send the match to penalties.

The rest, as they say, is history. ✨

⚽️ Join us tomorrow, Saturday, May 16 for Capital City Blues x Open Goal Project Day!

We’re teaming up with the ( ‘s official DC supporters group) across the city for a full day of community, soccer, and impact — starting with MLS GO powered by DCFC, followed by an FA Cup Final watch party fundraiser as Manchester City takes on Chelsea at , and ending the day cheering on DCFC in league play at The Fields at RFK. 💙

All proceeds from the event will support our core program DCFC, DC’s first and only 100% free-to-play youth travel soccer club.

We can’t wait to come together, engage with community, partner with an incredible group of supporters, and enjoy a full day of amazing fútbol together. ⚽️
