In a place where war has torn through lives and hospitals alike, the determination to heal keeps rising. At Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, PCRF is not just rebuilding surgical rooms—we’re rebuilding trust in care, and rewriting what’s possible in the face of devastation.

This effort is not defined by cement or equipment, but by the quiet power of persistence. It’s in every light turned back on, every door reopened, and every mother who no longer fears the journey to treatment.

It’s a long road—but we walk it with purpose. Because giving up is not an option when lives depend on it.

Join us on August 16, 2025 for a special evening of advocacy, storytelling, and solidarity in Washington, DC, to stand with the children of Gaza who continue to be denied access to basic medical care.

Inspired by Nada, the brave young girl whose image beneath the rubble captured by photojournalist Motaz Azaiza shook the world. Her pain, frozen in that moment, moved millions and sparked her rescue. Tonight, we honor her journey, the brave efforts of Motaz who brought her story to light, and all those involved in her story. We stand in solidarity with the countless children still caught in the unimaginable grip of carnage and destruction.

This PCRF fundraising and advocacy event brings together medical experts, humanitarians, and community leaders, including Dr. Sami Tuffaha – the surgeon who saved Nada’s leg, the renowned photojournalist Motaz Azaiza, Laila Mokhiber, and Rania Batrice, in addition to PCRF’s representatives; Vivian Khalaf, Chairwoman of the Board, and Tareq Hailat, Outreach & Public Engagement Lead.

Let’s come together for a night that honors courage, demands action, and uplifts hope.

For children battling illness and complex medical conditions, the crisis in Gaza makes an already difficult journey even more life-threatening. But PCRF remains committed to supporting them.

Through our Monthly Sponsorship Program, PCRF provided essential medications for children, meeting urgent health needs and helping prevent severe complications.

For parents desperately searching for these lifesaving treatments, this support brings much-needed relief. And for their children, it offers more than medicine. It brings a glimpse of hope in the midst of unimaginable hardship.

In the face of unimaginable hardship, PCRF teams continue to show up. This month, through our Monthly Sponsorship Program, PCRF provided urgent medications to some of the most severely affected children in North and South Gaza.

Every child in Gaza is suffering, but for children with disabilities or chronic illnesses, the pain runs even deeper. Under the ongoing siege, where medical supplies are nearly impossible to access, these children are left to battle serious conditions without the care they need.

Help us keep the lifeline going, and bring more children hope, relief, and a chance to rise despite the devastation. 💙

Nada has been discharged from the hospital and continues her recovery and physical therapy with host family!

We are incredibly grateful for your response and support so far, and wanted to give an update on Nada’s condition.
Due to her relocation to Baltimore, we are reaching out once again to connect her to the local community

The news of a ceasefire in Gaza brings a moment of relief after months of unimaginable suffering and loss. While we welcome the hope it brings, we know the wounds, both visible and unseen, will take years to heal.

At PCRF, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the children and families of Gaza. The need for medical care, psychosocial support, and long-term rebuilding is more urgent than ever.
