Member Spotlight ✨️
2nd Lieutenant

My name is Sean and I have been a proud member of the Warwick Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps since December 2019.

I was born at St. Anthony Community Hospital, raised in Warwick, and have always had an immense love for my hometown. My family's history of service to this community goes back generations. My grandfather served with the Ambulance Corps in the late 1960s and 1970s, and my great-uncle also served, in addition to being a Warwick fire chief. Their dedication to our community helped inspire my own desire to give back to the town that has given me so much.

When I joined the Corps, I began riding as often as I could and quickly fell in love with EMS. I became an EMT in 2020 and eventually turned that passion into a career at LEGOLAND New York Resort, where I now serve as EMT Lead. Along the way, I also convinced my then-girlfriend, now wife, to join the Corps, where she became an EMT herself.
As my involvement grew, I became increasingly interested in the leadership and operations of the organization. I was fortunate to learn from and be mentored by Frank, Bobby, and Eric, whose guidance helped prepare me to become lieutenant in 2025. I consider that responsibility both a privilege and an obligation. I believe leadership means being dependable, supporting our members, and always working to leave the organization better than you found it.

Warwick is more than where I live; it is part of who I am. I genuinely love this community, this Corps, and the people who make both so special. Being able to give back to the place I have always called home is something I will never take for granted.

Outside of EMS, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dogs, hosting trivia nights in Warwick, playing video games, and cheering on my beloved New York Mets—an exercise in patience and perseverance that has probably prepared me for leadership more than I'd care to admit.

🚑🚒🚓 Happy National First Responders Day! ❤️

Today, October 28, we recognize the dedicated men and women who answer the call when our communities need them most.

From EMTs and paramedics to firefighters, police officers, and dispatchers, first responders work together every day to protect, serve, and care for others.

At Warwick EMS, we are proud to stand alongside our fellow first responders. Whether responding to an emergency, lending a helping hand, or supporting one another on a difficult call, teamwork and dedication make all the difference.

We also want to extend a special thank you to the families of first responders. Behind every first responder is a family or friend who share in the sacrifices. Thank you for understanding the missed holidays, interrupted dinners, sleepless nights, and unexpected calls that take your loved ones away. Your patience, encouragement, and unwavering support make it possible for us to do what we do. Thank you.

To all first responders and the families who stand behind them, thank you for your dedication, compassion, sacrifice, and commitment to our communities.

Happy National First Responders Day from all of us at Warwick EMS.

During September, Warwick EMS responded to 160 emergency calls, bringing the agency's total to 1,660 calls in 2026. Volunteers and paid staff also dedicated 134 hours of service throughout September. Falls and general illnesses accounted for the largest number of responses, followed by motor vehicle incidents, chest pain, and breathing emergencies.

As the demand for emergency medical services continues to grow, so does the need for dedicated volunteers. Warwick EMS members come from all walks of life, including students, retirees, teachers, business owners, and healthcare professionals. They share one common goal: helping their neighbors when it matters most.

No previous medical experience is necessary to join. Warwick EMS provides training and support, including CPR, first aid, ambulance operations, and opportunities to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Members can serve in operational or support roles based on their interests and availability.

Beyond emergency response, Warwick EMS remains committed to community health and education.

A free blood pressure clinic is held on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Warwick Station.

Warwick EMS also maintains a Medical Equipment Loan Closet, providing residents with medical equipment at no cost, based on availability. Thanks to the generosity of local residents, this program has helped dozens of individuals and families in need.

Residents needing equipment are encouraged to call and leave a message, and a member will return their call. Borrowers are kindly reminded to return equipment when it is no longer needed, especially wheelchairs, which are frequently requested. Returning these items allows Warwick EMS to continue helping others in the community.

Additionally, Warwick EMS offers monthly Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid classes for community members and EMS personnel. Classes cost $50 each, and registration is available by emailing [email protected].

Warwick EMS is always looking for individuals interested in giving back to their community. Whether responding to emergencies or assisting behind the scenes, every volunteer plays an important role in keeping our community safe.

Warwick EMS extends its sincere appreciation to its volunteers, paid staff, and the residents whose continued generosity and support make these services possible.

When our community calls for help, Warwick EMS is there to answer.

🚑🐻 Boo Boo Bear is feeling much better! 🐻🚑

What a wonderful evening at Touch-A-Truck! Thank you to all the families who came out to visit Warwick EMS and spend some time with us!

Our little future first responders did a fantastic job taking care of Boo Boo Bear! 🩺 They checked his heartbeat, took his temperature, and even helped hold his emesis bag!

After a thorough checkup, the doctor determined that Boo Boo Bear had simply eaten a little too much honey! 🍯🐝 Thankfully, he'll be feeling much better by tomorrow!

We loved seeing all the smiling faces, answering questions, and sharing a little bit of what we do with our community. Kids practiced CPR and were pros.

❤️ Thank you for making it such a fun and memorable evening! We can't wait to see everyone again next year!

Beary the boo boo bear got hurt. He hopes that the kids at Touch a Truck tomorrow can make him feel better.
