Dear Warwick Community,

It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of duty that I reach out to you today. We are gathering to honor one of our own, George Gonzalez, a U.S. Army veteran and a cherished neighbor who has left us far too soon.

George's service to our country is a testament to the sacrifices he made for our freedom. Although we were unable to connect with his relatives, we are committed to ensuring he receives the dignified send-off he deserves.

Join us on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 12 PM, outside Lazear Funeral Home, where we will pay our respects. George will be escorted by the Warwick Police Department and the nationally recognized NAM Knights Motorcycle Club to the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.

For those who wish to join us directly at the cemetery, we invite you to arrive by 1 PM, for the military services, which will include an opening and closing tribute by the Warwick Valley VFW and the American Legion, culminating in a solemn flag-folding ceremony by the U.S. Army Color Guard.

We respectfully request that all members of our community come out to honor George and show support for this veteran who served us all.

Let us come together as a community to pay our respects to George Gonzalez, ensuring that he is remembered for his bravery and dedication to our nation.

Thank you for your support.

Respectfully yours,

Jose Morales Jr.
