Yes, the kids bowl free. But before the adults start complaining that nobody ever gives us free stuff, there is an affordable family pass option that can add up to 4 adults for the entire summer.

Whether you’re bringing the kids, the grandkids, or you’re just a grown-up who still gets way too competitive over bowling (looking at you, Ed Boynton), it’s a fun and budget-friendly way to spend an afternoon.

It’s also air-conditioned, which may become very important once Rhode Island decides to turn into the surface of the sun for a few days.

And bonus points: there’s now a Warwick location participating too.

Noella here with another food pantry friendly recipe

99¢ eggplant from Shaw’s Supermarkets last week. One eggplant gave me over 16 slices, which, when paired with a pound of angel hair pasta and a jar of sauce, is more than enough to feed the bottomless pits we call children.

I cooked the pasta like normal and set that aside. For the eggplant, I sliced it up, dipped each piece in egg (I used 2, but milk works too if that’s what you’ve got), then coated them in breadcrumbs. In a frying pan, I heated just enough oil to coat the bottom and browned the slices lightly on each side.

Once they were done, I transferred them to a baking dish, covered them with sauce (cheese is optional if you’re feeling fancy or the fridge cooperates), and baked everything at 350° for about 20–22 minutes.

Served it over pasta and called it dinner. Bonus: I made two pans, so the leftovers turned into sandwiches the next day, because around here, we don’t waste wins. Shaw's Supermarket

I currently have about 2 boy-themed bags and the rest are girl-themed gift bags filled with small toys that could be used for your kiddos’ Easter baskets. I’m just trying to lend a helping hand to any mamas who could use it. (Each bag also contains gender neutral items)

I’m still putting together and adding a couple more bags. The pictures show examples of what is in them, but I am still adding more items to the bags. Each bag will have about 6–10 items.

Pickup will be Wednesday afternoon at Panera in Warwick. If you’re interested, please send me a message.

You may choose whichever bag you would like when you arrive, but it will be first come, first choice. Please do not switch items between bags, and limit 1 bag per family.

Birthday Toy Request Program

We offer one donated toy for children ages 3–10 during their birthday month.

Please note the following important guidelines:

• This program provides ONE toy only.
• We do NOT have Legos available.
• Toys come from donations we already have, so specific items cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to match your request when possible.
• Only a parent or legal guardian may submit a request.
• ID and the child’s birth certificate are required at pickup. Proof of Residency in state of RI.

Pickup Information:
Pickups are held twice a month on Sundays, typically the first and third Sunday, depending on requests. Location is in Warwick.

This program is meant to provide a small birthday surprise using donated items we already have available. Program is open to all proof of need is not required.

Quick reminder about the waitlist:
Each code can only be used once for the adult list and once for the family list. No code = we can’t consider your form, so please message us for one before applying.

When filling out a children’s list, you must include the child’s name, age, and a wishlist that follows our rules. These rules are shared with you when you message us for a code. Please list specific items…entries like “anything” or “everything” won’t be accepted.

Using the same code multiple times or submitting forms for multiple people or families won’t be considered. We do understand accidental double clicks happen, and we check for that.

These rules help us keep things fair for everyone.
