Cynthia James — Extension Support Specialist at the Cornell Food Venture Center. Cynthia works with the Process Authority to validate value-added packaged food products for safety and stability and helps manufacturers understand the steps needed to bring safe products to market.

Alysia Ericsson — Business Development Specialist with the NYS Center of Excellence for Food and Agriculture at Cornell AgriTech. Alysia works with food, beverage, and agriculture entrepreneurs to help them start and grow their businesses.

Dr. Catherine Monserrate — Research Support Specialist in the Cornell Maple Program at Cornell University. Her research focuses on maple production practices and consumer preferences and product quality. Her extension work includes guidelines for commercial production of value-added maple foods and beverages, as well as a Good Manufacturing Practices course tailored for maple producers.

🛹 Help Us Build Wyoming County’s First Skatepark! 🚲

Wyoming County is looking to build its first skatepark, and we want YOU to be part of the process!

We are looking to form a planning group that includes local skateboarders, BMX riders, and other potential skatepark users of all ages, who are interested in helping bring this project to life. This group would help with grant opportunities, skatepark design, and planning to create a space that reflects the interests and needs of our community.

We want to hear from the people who would actually use the park! Whether you are a skater, BMX rider, parent, or someone passionate about creating more recreational opportunities for our youth, we would love to hear from you.

This week, our Wyoming County Business Fast Track participants got an inside look at hiring from an HR perspective with 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧-𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐇𝐑𝐌-𝐂𝐏, from Complete Payroll!
