Friends! The library has had a community request to provide an adult chess club for patrons to meet up and play together! We have the perfect community space now to offer these type of programs, so we are scheduling a meet-up for players! We are hoping this draws interest two-fold! Players of course! But also we are looking for a chess master!! If you or someone you know is comfortable being a leader of sorts to answer questions, that would be awesome! This is not being marketed as an instructional program, but rather a meet up! However, if we have someone willing to help players too, we would love it!

We hope to see our friends at this special after hours event on Friday! Carly has been an active and supportive member of our group and we can’t wait to celebrate her! And Julie Berry’s bookstore has been supplying our library with all the books…after Baker and Taylor abruptly shut their doors to all libraries last year! Julie will be supplying books for those interested in purchasing, and both will be signing their books! Purchasing is optional.

Our library is always adding new services and programs! Check this one out!

Today, Sept. 25th, is National Comic Book Day which is the perfect day to announce our new Book Club centered on comics and graphic novels for adults and older teens! We'll be meeting every other month to discuss a new title, starting Tuesday Nov. 3rd at 6pm with DC's Kingdom Come by author Mark Waid and artist Alex Ross.
Copies will be available to loan at the library and on Libby.

We finally have our brand new updated donation board outside! You can choose any of our local organizations to donate your bottles and cans towards! If you are an organization that wants to be added to the list send us a message! A big thank you to G.I. John's Hauling LLC for stepping in to help us get it installed!!
