We’re a student-led service club for teens across Wyoming County, NY, sponsored by the Perry Rotary Club.

Through volunteer projects, leadership development, and fun events, we’re making a difference in our communities—one act of service at a time!

❄️🐻 The Snowmelt Squad took the plunge!

This spring, several of our Interact members braved the chilly waters of Conesus Lake as part of the Rotary Polar Plunge. Not only did they have a blast, but they also helped make a difference by raising an incredible $1,600 as a team!

Their efforts contributed to more than $50,000 raised overall, supporting programs including summer camps for children with disabilities, scholarships, local Rotary initiatives, and youth-led projects throughout our district.

We are so proud of these girls for stepping outside their comfort zones, working together toward a goal, and showing that leadership sometimes means taking a leap—even into freezing water! 💙

📣✨ Member Recruitment in Action!

We are incredibly proud of our Interact members for stepping outside their comfort zones and sharing their passion for service with other students at Letchworth Middle/High School.

In February, our members presented to leadership classes, handed out flyers during lunch periods, and—most importantly—had the courage to start conversations with complete strangers about joining Interact. That takes confidence, leadership, and a willingness to put yourself out there.

Their efforts resulted in a new member joining the club, but the biggest success was watching these young leaders grow and believe in themselves.

Way to go, girls! 💙 We can’t wait to see where your leadership journey takes you next.

🇺🇸 This week, our Interact club members, along with Mr. J and several helpers, joined together in Warsaw to help place flags on veterans’ graves in honor of Memorial Day.

It was a meaningful opportunity to show respect and gratitude to the men and women who served our country and made countless sacrifices for our freedom.

We are proud of everyone who took the time to give back, remember, and help preserve the meaning of this important holiday. ❤️🤍💙

🎬🍿 This month, we treated our Interact members to a fun night at Spotlight Of Warsaw as a thank-you for all of their hard work and service efforts throughout the year!

A huge thank you to owner, Tami Treutlein, for giving our group a behind-the-scenes tour of the theater and sharing its history, how movies used to be presented, and how the theater has evolved into the digital age. It was incredible for the kids to learn how much of an asset Spotlight Theater is to our community.

Of course, popcorn was included 🍿 and “Sheep Detectives” was a hit with the group!

Overall, it was such a fun night together and a great way to celebrate all the amazing work these students continue to do 💙

💌✨ Merry Mail Mission

This holiday season, our Wyoming County Interact members came together to create and deliver 100 handmade holiday cards filled with personal messages and kindness.

These cards were shared with residents at Cloisters Assisted Living, Eastside Nursing Home, and Meals on Wheels recipients to help spread a little extra joy during the holidays ❤️

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest impact, and we’re so proud of the thought and care these students put into every single card.

🎶✨ Creating something of our own

Our Interact members composed the lyrics to a brand new club song—built around the core pillars of Interact—and even used AI to help bring the melody to life.

What started as an idea is now something we share together at the start of every meeting 💙

Our Interact members took the stage and brought the energy—writing and performing a comedy skit for last year’s Rotary Show!

From creative ideas to “hard core” cruise ship exercises 😄, it was such a fun way to be part of an amazing community event.

💙 The show raised $18,000
👏 Over 700 people came out to support

All funds go right back into supporting local community projects through Rotary, and we’re so proud to be a part of it!

We were honored to welcome our first guest speaker to Interact—Gail Serventi!

Gail shared the incredible story behind the The Autism Nature Trail at Letchworth State Park, a project she helped pioneer from the ground up. What started as a vision turned into a seven-year journey and millions raised to create a space that now welcomes thousands of visitors each year.

The trail is free to experience, open year-round, and designed to support families, promote inclusion, improve well-being, and serve as a resource for schools, therapists, and communities. It’s even inspired similar projects in other states.

Hearing Gail’s journey—from her career as a speech therapist to creating something so impactful—was truly inspiring for our group. Her passion for continuing to serve others and building something meaningful for the community left a lasting impression on all of us.

Thank you, Gail, for sharing your story and showing us what dedication, vision, and heart can accomplish. 💙

❄️💦 So proud of these girls!

The Wyoming County Interact Club took on the Rotary D7120 Polar Bear Plunge—braving low 40° water, a little rain, and a chilly breeze 🥶—and still had smiles on their faces the whole time.

Together, they raised $1,600 for Rotary programs, contributing to over $50,000 raised overall 💙

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported them—we couldn’t have done it without you!
