Junk Journal Club

Junk Journal Club Junk Journal Club is a relaxed creative club for anyone who loves paper, stories, and making things by hand. Free to attend, welcoming to all experience levels.

We meet once a month on Sunday afternoons in Howland to journal, experiment, and connect. About Junk Journal Club

Hi, I’m Jessica, the hands behind Jessica’s Junk Journals and the heart behind Junk Journal Club. This club was created as a place to slow down, play with paper, and create without pressure or perfection. Once a month on Sunday afternoons, we gather in Howland to cut, glue, layer, and

tell stories through our journals. Some people come with full journals, some come with curiosity only. Both are always welcome. Junk Journal Club is free to attend and beginner-friendly. Supplies are available to use, glue is always provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own favorite bits along too. There will also be a small selection of optional supplies available for purchase for anyone who wants to add a little extra magic to their pages. This space is about creativity, connection, and community. No rules. No expectations. Just a table, some paper, and time to make something meaningful. I’m so glad you’re here.

New members, beautiful journals, and the best way to spend a spring Sunday ☀️🌿📚

Today at Junk Journal Club we welcomed some new faces and got to see so many creative ideas come to life. From vintage children’s books to cookbook journals and nature-inspired pages, every journal had its own personality and story.

One of my favorite parts of club is seeing how completely different everyone’s creations turn out, even when we’re all sitting around the same tables with piles of paper and supplies everywhere ✂️💐

Thank you to everyone who came, created, chatted, laughed, and made the room feel so inspiring today. I already can’t wait for next month 💛

📚✂️ Junk Journal Tip of the Day ✂️📚

For everyone at club who was taping pages together to make longer signatures for your journals… LOOK what I found at Michael’s 👀✨

These oversized cardstock pads are 12x24, which means you can fold them in half and instantly have nice long pages for your signatures without taping pieces together 🙌

Less bulk.
Less frustration.
Cleaner folds.
And honestly… kind of a game changer for bigger journals.

They were in the cardstock paper section at Michael’s Craft Store 🎨📓

If you’re planning on making larger journals or just want longer pages inside your signatures, these are definitely worth checking out.

Okay wait… this combo is everything 😍

Vonda made this charm for her Louis Vuitton planner yesterday and I cannot get over it. The mix of soft, romantic junk journal textures with that structured, high-end planner look… it just works.

The frayed florals, layered ribbons, and that little charm detail give it so much personality. It takes something polished and makes it feel lived-in, creative, and completely her.

This is exactly what I love about junk journaling… there are no rules. Vintage scraps, fabric, ribbon, a little chaos, a little elegance… all coming together into something one of a kind ✨

Would you add something like this to your planner or journal? 💕

Today’s Junk Journal Club was one of my favorites 💛

We spent the afternoon sewing journals together, creating the cutest tassels, and decorating pages with all the little details that make each book so special. Every single journal had its own personality and story coming to life ✂️📖

And on top of that… this group showed up BIG for Keller Williams Red Day ❤️🐾
So many donations came in for the Animal Welfare League, and it seriously means so much. This is what community is all about.

Creative time + giving back = the best kind of day

I’m so grateful for everyone who came, created, laughed, and contributed today. You guys make this club what it is 💕

If you’ve been thinking about joining us… this is your sign 😉

✨ Junk Journal Club – Sunday, April 26! ✨

We’re getting together again Sunday, April 26 at 1:00 PM and this one is going to be such a good one 👀✂️

If you missed last time, no stress at all. We’ll be sewing in signatures, so you can jump right in and get your journal started (or caught up!).

AND… we’re doing something new 👇
✨ Spine charms! ✨
We’ll be making charms to attach to the outside spine of your journals for that extra personality and finished look. Trust me… you’re going to love this part.

Bring your journal, your scraps, or just yourself. I’ll have supplies ready either way 🤍

Come hang out, create, and make something you actually want to keep forever 📚

Busy weekend of journaling!

Finishing up the best kind of weekend at The Scrap House✂️

Started and finished quite a few projects and I swear my creative cup is completely full.

✨ Monster Truck journal for my son and husband
✨ Museum journal from our trip to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History
✨ Preschool journal for my oldest
✨ And a pansy journal still in the works 🌸

Nothing better than sitting around a table with my mom and friends, paper everywhere, and just creating. This is exactly why I love junk journaling.
