Last Day to Apply for the Summer Crisis Program – September 30, 2026
September 30, 2026, will be the last day to apply for the Summer Crisis Program to assist with electric disconnection notices, disconnected service, transfer service, new services, central air repair, air conditioners and fans.
Due to the high volume of requests for assistance, TCAP offers clients call-in same day appointments every Wednesday by calling 330-393-2507, ext 225, starting at 7:00 am. DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE ON THIS LINE. You must continue to call the number and extension until you speak to a live operator. You will be given a specific, same-day appointment on the Wednesday that you call. On the last call-in day, September 30th, we will have extended hours to try to meet the need. These appointments first come, first served and spots are very limited.
TCAP’s automated line is still available to schedule appointments for September at 330-951-0015. Have your bills in front of you when you call this number to receive an appointment hold, at the discretion of the utility companies.

September 30th is the last day to apply for the Trumbull Community Action Program’s Scummer Crisis Program to assist with electric disconnection notice, disconnected service, transfer of service, new service, central air repair, air conditioners and fans. Due to the high volume of requests for assistance, TCAP offers clients a same day call-in appointment every Wednesday by calling 330-393-2507 EXT. 225 starting at 7:00 am.

You will be given a specific same-day appointment on the same Wednesday you call. On the last call-in day, September 30th, we will have extended hours to try to meet the need. These appointments first come, first served and spots are very limited.
TCAP’s automated line is full for the month of September. For regular PIPP/HEAP appointments, not SCP, you can schedule for the month of October in the middle of September. The automated line number is 330-951-0015.
Eligible applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
*Household with a household member age 60 or older;
*Households whose electric service is disconnected, are in danger of disconnection, need new service, or transferring service;
*if all household members are under the age of 60, a completed state medical form or letter from your physician (MUST be on the doctor’s office letterhead) that states that electricity/air conditioning would be beneficial;
*Income eligibility is at or below the 175% Federal Poverty Guidelines.
