Do Not Wear Jewelry or Rings While Tattooing
Wearing jewelry, especially rings, while tattooing creates a major risk for cross-contamination and infection. Rings and bracelets can harbor bacteria and ink particles that are impossible to fully sterilize during a procedure. They also interfere with proper glove use, potentially tearing or compromising the protective barrier. Even small items such as earrings or necklaces can fall into the working area or touch sterile equipment. For the safety of both artist and client, all jewelry should be removed before setting up for a tattoo session, ensuring a clean, professional, and contamination-free environment.
