In Loving Memory of Carolina Vicere
Carolina Vicere, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Her life was filled with love, laughter, and an extraordinary gift for making every moment special.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Carolina brought warmth, humor, and heart to everyone she met. She and her husband, Joseph Vicere, made their home in Farmingdale, where they raised their daughters in a close-knit and loving community. Deeply involved in every aspect of her children’s lives, Carolina was a constant presence — whether volunteering with the PTA, helping with the swim team, or cheering proudly at every event.
Carolina had a true gift for creating joy and comfort through her talents. She loved to cook, bake, and make her famous chocolates during the holidays, traditions that brought family and friends together year after year. A creative spirit, she also loved crafting and sewing, and had an eye for making everything around her more beautiful.
Her love for family was her greatest passion. She was a devoted mother to Tracy Vicere and Amy (Vicere) Hirsch, a loving mother-in-law to Ari Hirsch, and the proudest grandmother to Jarod and Rachel, whom she adored beyond measure. Her devotion to them was endless, and she found her greatest happiness in celebrating their lives and accomplishments.
Carolina’s compassion extended far beyond her own home. As a board member of Friends and Angels: The Tracy Vicere Foundation, she supported her daughter Tracy’s vision by helping others with the same generosity and love that defined her life.
After many years in Florida, Carolina returned to New York about three years ago to be closer to her family — where she found joy once again in everyday moments, surrounded by the people she loved most.
She is also survived by her dear cousin Michael Menikotz, his wife Cathy Walsh, and their daughter Jennifer Menikotz, who held a special place in her heart.
Carolina will forever be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her incredible ability to make others feel loved and cared for. Her warmth and spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
