We have GREAT NEWS to share!!!!!!!

It’s been awhile since posting because we didn’t want to jinx anything-but on Monday, June 20th, Helena received a kidney transplant from her beautiful angel, Kathy. We could not be more grateful for this selfless gift of life. Kathy is a hero to our family, and a beautiful soul. We love her very much. Helena and Kathy are both recovering in the hospital but are doing well.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who shared this page, got tested to donate, and prayed for Helena. She has been through the ringer this last year, and her courage and strength kept her going. The kindness from everyone who supported this page and Helena’s journey will never be forgotten.

BIG NEWS - Helena’s health is declining. Please SHARE. Although the transplant center is still testing individuals with O blood at this time; Helena’s surgeon stated that A2 blood would also be a direct match. If you are type A blood; please get tested to see if you happen to be A2. Are you Helena’s hero? Please help her get better and watch her babies grow up.

Gone are the days of the big long scar from donating a kidney. The surgery is now done lapriscopically with teeny tiny scars (mine are all gone).
