There is still time to sign-up for the 2025 LIBC. https://www.lichallenge.org/ Take on the Challenge by making the commitment to ride on Sunday, July 27th. Support those who only wish they could ride.

The LIBC has 3 starting points Wantagh, Brentwood and Medford. There is a challenging distance for all rider abilities. https://www.lichallenge.org/rideinfo-maps

All riders receive the following:

▪ A new 2025 specially designed LIBC bicycle jersey

▪ LIBC bike socks, water bottle and other goodies

▪ Water stops every 20 - 25 miles and mechanical support for your bike

Long Island Bike Challenge Riders raise a record $73,000 in 2024 to Battle Cancer
The Long Island Bike Challenge donated a record $73,000 for the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. This year’s record gift for cancer research, treatment, and patient care was revealed on Monday, December 16th at the Feinstein Institutes celebrating the organization’s 2024 gift. Lifetime fundraising, since 2012, the LIBC has donated $640,000 to the Northwell Health Systems Research Arm, the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, in the battle against cancer.

The TIME has arrived. Ride across Long Island to battle cancer. Support, honor, help patients and their families by raising funds for cancer research and treatment. 100% of all rider raised donations go to The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research the research arm of the Northwell Health System.

Why ride? To remember all loved ones lost to cancer. To hope for a cure and a positive outcome for all those diagnosed. Ride to celebrate life, health and friendship while joining an incredible effort to fund cancer research and treatment. I understand everyone has their reasons for riding. But one thing is certain by taking on the CHALLENGE of riding and raising money to battle cancer, you become an inspiration to everyone who is affected by cancer. Ride because those afflicted with cancer only wish they could ride.
Ride across Long Island choose a challenging distance to ride between 25 and 85 miles. Fully supported, multiple water stops.

2023 LIBC Gift to The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research: $51,000. This Years Gift Brings the LIBC's Total Contributions in Support of Cancer Research and Treatment to over $540,000. Today, the Long Island Bike Challenge announced its 2023 gift for cancer research, treatment, and care at the world-renowned Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, the research arm of the Northwell Health System. This impressive gift will bring the LIBC's total contributions to $540,000 since 2012. The gift will be used to accelerate innovation in cancer research, clinical trials and treatment. Looking ahead to 2024, (Save The Date, Sunday, August 4th) the LIBC is eager to reconvene its dedicated community of riders, volunteers, donors, and sponsors to not only raise the fundraising bar for cancer research and treatment once again, but to achieve a significant milestone together: $1 million contributed to fighting cancer.
