For Julie, the mission of Cancer Support Community SF Bay Area is personal. 💗

As both a member of the CSC team and a breast cancer survivor, Julie understands firsthand how important it is to have support, connection, and a community that understands what you’re going through.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Julie is sharing a reminder that no one should have to navigate cancer alone.

At CSC SF Bay Area, our breast cancer support groups provide a space to connect, share experiences, and find support from others who understand, and like all of our programs and services, they’re always offered at no cost.

Lucinda Bazile, MPH and Caroline Sison, MPH are grateful to Dr. Anjali Sibley for highlighting the work of Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area at the Oncology Nursing Society SF Bay Area meeting and for being such a strong advocate for integrating supportive care into cancer treatment.

A special thank you to Terry Healy, this year’s survivorship speaker, for sharing how Cancer Support Community has been part of his journey and how participating in support groups gave him the courage to be vulnerable, a beautiful reminder of the power of connection and community.

We were thrilled to participate in Touro University’s Breast Cancer Awareness Event on October 14th, connecting with our North Bay community partners and raising awareness for those impacted by cancer.

A special shoutout to Caroline Sison, CSC SF Bay Area’s Director of Educational Programs and Outreach, for representing our organization! It was also wonderful to connect with Vallejo Council Member Helen-Marie Gordon, CSC SF Bay Area participant Gina, and others who share our mission. ❤️

Coffee, community, and a shared commitment to making a difference! 💗☕

Huge thanks to Larry Olson, Director of Community Engagement at the San Francisco Sheriff's Office, for inviting CSC SF Bay Area to participate in Pink Patch Coffee with a Deputy! We loved connecting with local law enforcement and community members while raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of having support throughout the cancer journey.

We're grateful for community partnerships like these that help us spread the word about our free programs and services and remind those impacted by cancer that they are never alone. 💕

Serving up support for a great cause! 🏐💕

We were honored to be part of Sacred Heart Schools Atherton’s inaugural Pink Out Volleyball Game, bringing the community together in support of those impacted by breast cancer!

Ahead of the game, the volleyball program hosted a Serve-a-Thon, where family and friends pledged donations for every serve or made a flat contribution. ❤️

Together, the Sacred Heart community has raised an incredible $21,624, with more donations still coming in! 🎉

A heartfelt thank you to the athletes, families, coaches, and the entire Sacred Heart community for rallying behind our mission of providing free programs and services to people impacted by cancer.

Dancing for a cause never felt so good! 💃🎉

A HUGE thank you to WildKat Fitness for hosting another incredible Party in Pink Zumbathon, raising over $5,700 for Cancer Support Community SF Bay Area!

The energy was contagious, the dance floor was filled with joy, and the generosity was inspiring! Events like this do more than raise critical funds; they bring our community together and spread awareness of the free cancer support services available to those who need them.
