Diablo Theatre Company Diablo Theatre Company's SingOut offers musical theatre programming for students ages 4 to 18. The Diablo Theatre Company was born.

Centrally located, with students from all over Contra Costa, including Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Alamo and beyond. Late in the 1950's, armed with some paper, pencil, and an indomitable spirit, a group of musical theater lovers from the Walnut Creek area gathered for the first time with the idea of creating their own amateur company to produce their favorite Gilbert

and Sullivan operettas. After considering several names for the new company, they decided to name it after the gentle, taciturn mountain which overlooks the area. Over the years, the Diablo Theatre Company evolved from a "light" Opera Company, to a staple of Contra Costa's mainstage theatre, to the thriving Youth Arts Education Organization it is today.
